    I am making a map where a hero has guards with it that help it fight. how do I do this so that they stay near it and fight without having them walk all the way up to it and stare (like Zerglings right clicked on an overlord)

    I am making a map in which a one player controls a zerg hero, and another who controls a zerg army (like melee) Im struggling in making the hero not have to research burrow to allow the zerg hero to burrow, but make the melee player have to. I know this is probably simple but I would really appreciate the info. I will also give u special thanks in the load screen for the first answer to solve the problem.

    luckily I was able to figure it out before I checked here, but ill still give you guys credit for helping me out. :) I was worried for a moment. also, ducky, there is no random player from player group option, that's what screwed me up. :)

    I have a complex question

    im a total noob with dialog. I've never even made one before. so explaining it will be key for me. I have a map, where one player is zerg and the rest are terrans trying to beat the zerg. I want a dialog option where players can opt in/out of being randomly picked to be zerg. (like all players who opted in will be randomly chosen from). also, time limit. (I know how to make a timer, but not how to tie it in) also, if they all opt out I want it to randomly pick one. I know this is a lot of work, but the first person who provides me an answer leading to a working model, will have a credit to them on the loading screen, somewhere on the map, and possibly on the opting menu itself.

    EDIT: it is now semi-functional selecting op in/out will put you in corresponding player groups . I still cant do "random player form player group" like I want.

    NOTE: if I don't solve if by the week, I will remove this system and have it randomly choose from all players.

    hi. I'm making a map and I've encountered some problems. im not good enough with the editor to know how to fiz them, and I was hoping someone would help. (you will be given credit, of course)

    1. i have an ability based on the infester- "infested terrans" ability. it spawns 2 banelings instead. i have an "ultimate" ability that uses triggers. an invisible observer follows the zerg hero and when it uses an ability it is ordered to lanch a bung of baneling eggs around my hero. its supposed to be drop pods, but they go up then down. how do i make the egg start from a higher location, or look like it's falling from the sky

    2. core structures near resources. i asked this before and the response was "footprints". what about the footprint. (im looking into this, and may solve it myself. until then, i would appreciate an answer)

    3. making units be able to move and shoot while not turning to face the target. i have an "Air Support" terran ability. this spawns some fighters at the bottom corner and fly to my heros position attacking everything on the way. but they stop and shoot the attacker. i want it to be like a strafe (think of how the mothership works)

    I need to remove the not being able to place command centers and hatcheries next to resources. im not sure how to do this. footprints maybe? help would be appreciated, and of course you will be given credit in-game.

    I'm making a map of a forest, and the trees are mineral fields (like your harvesting lumber) I don't want you to be able to see through the tree line until the trees are chopped down. how would I go about this?
