FoC stands for Fight of Characters. It's basically a hero arena map, except that the heroes have been custom modeled to represent popular anime characters.
For leveling, imagine the DotA map, take away the lanes and towers, leaving you with only the 'neutral creeps'. There're tons of those that you kill to level ( and the map's kinda small also so its inevitable that you need to kill/threaten the other team heroes to keep him from killing all the creeps. Otherwise you need to wait for em to respawn ). Every x minutes a random player is chosen from each team and set to fight each other 1on1 as well. The map's divided into several areas where the creeps at the corner of the maps are much tougher to kill.
edit : and to answer the question of the thread : Try Smashcraft. Rather similar except no leveling/item system. City of Tempest is rather good as well (Since it's much more of skillful skill spam )
A rather interesting map. Several questions to get things started :
1. Is this a co-op or solo map?
2. Could you elaborate more on the 3 different buildings? Is there any difference between them? Eg. If you build something that feeds the body, maybe make the trained units deal more damage, the soul = more hp/armor & mind = units that use energy
3. Biggest question here. For the defending part, is defense done mostly by the hero himself, the towers that you build, or the units that are summoned?
Suggestion : Quite a large number of skills you got there for the hero. Maybe let the players be able to choose 5-6 abilities only? This would make the game seem much more customised, then the players will need to choose units & towers that complement the chosen abilities.
Hmm a custom map tournament. Would be great if there were more participants / maps though.
Also, is it possible to host a map without uploading it to the Bnet ( meaning it stays private ), because I went to check out the NA map night thread and they had several interesting maps there.
Also, it sounds like you're looking for not-so competitive map-types. ( eg. most co-op games, since co-op games are against the AI and the AI isn't normally that strong. ) Avoid playing any tug of war / hero battle maps. So far most of these are purely serious business.
For future problems: Generally the best way of posting data is to provide a demo map that only contains the problem at hand. Inability to
replicate the problem in a new map usually means something went wrong
with copying stuff, linking up actors, earlier unrelated edits or you
made a trivial mistake in your original map.
@Sherlia
This please. It'd be alot easier if you post the vespene tank building by itself with a voidray inside so the problem can be checked alot quicker
Short answer : Wait a little longer.
Since you haven't gotten sc2 yet, wait till the price drops somewhat before buying it since the custom games now are still very lacking when compared to w3. You might find several good maps but the rest still need alot of work on them.
But not need to fret. I said wait a little longer because there'll be several improvements to the custom games section for the next patch (1.3) which should encourage more maps to come out and become popular easier.

Why not just change the spawn location to be at the mid left instead of being at the corners of the map?
