Sound as in unit speech such as when a marine is trained "You want a peice of me boy"?
Sorry, I should have been more specific. I have an imported sound setup in the sounds in data editor, that doesn't play/isn't loud enough if I have cinematic mode on. If I don't put cinematic mode on the sound plays fine.
I followed this to the letter twice, and got the same result. When i go to command card, I set command type to ability command, ability to move right / left/ up / down, but i cannot change Ability command to anything but move up. It works, so I'm not sure if this is important but I'd appreciate your input.
I turned Belshir into a custom tileset with
Braxis plate / mesh
Castanar Plates
Mar sara Sand
Belshir light grass
Belshir dark dirt
Korhal brick
Char rock
Mar sar natural cliff
braxxis man made cliff
belshir org / manmade cliff
It all works.. then I copy paste in the cliff from my other map and then the korhol and char don't work any more.
NM, if I paste onto it it will let me place more. lol
Hi, I made a custom tileset, reloaded the editor, and only 5 / 8 of them work (belshir dark dirt, grass, dark grass, castranar panels, braxis alpha panels, braxis mesh). They work fine.
3 that didn't work - (mar sara sand, korhol urban tile, mar sara dirt). And any others I try won't work. They show up in the terrain tab, but when I try to place them nothing shows up.
What controls the red laser beam? I'm giving multiple people a jim raynor with snipe, and for some reason the beam comes out of the last created jimmy, even if it shoots correctly most of the time.
"When adding campaign units to an existing map: Go to "File | Dependencies...", in the new dialog click "Add Standard..." and check "Liberty (Campaign)". After adding the dependencies, click on the "Liberty (Campaign)" item that was added to the list and use the blue up and down arrows to move it to the top of the list. Hit "OK" and reload your map. "
Should of created the customs after you altered dependencies..
It doesn't say not to. :/ GJ blizzard, glad we got this more powerful editor! What a joke, it deletes all of my behaviors / effects / abilities!
Thanks though. I guess I'll just live without campaign stuff.
Edit: rebooting computer and THEN restarting editor worked fine. No deleted stuff.
Anyway to add these without deleting all of the custom units I've made? (I'm trying to get Jimmy and his sniper ability). Every time I added campaign dependencies all my custom units disappear.
He is reusing the cliffs, he doesnt have anymore than 4.
Oh, guess it must just be the lighting then lol. Anyone know the metal texture from the first pic? It's the only one I saw in there I had a use for... and I've looked at every tileset and haven't seen it.
Open up the data editor, and go for the tab Terrain Texture Sets. Then you find the texture set for the tilset you originally chose when you created the map.
You can then add new cliff types in the cliffs field, and new terrain textures in the Textures - Blend field (although you can at most have 8 diffrent blend textures in your map, so you will have to replace some of those you alreay have)
You might need to reset the terrain editor once this is done (close it and reopen it from the data editor)

Is it possible to play a sound during cinematic mode active? If I have cinematic mode on and I play the sound you can't hear it. Thanks.

Thanks but I'm not importing custom textures. Just using different textures from different texture sets in the same texture set on my map.

Interesting. Is there any way to remove the beam? It's not really necessary for people in MP.
