    in my map i dont want a player to be able to have to many units, so i think around 75-100 is a good max number How do i make a trigger than will kill the weakest unit a player owns, if he goes over the 100 unit limit?

    you asked earlier how to make it seem more better. i say LIGHTING is the key, with the right lighting in the map (i get your going for nighttime) you could make it seem really nice and make the doodads look even more amazing. and IMO i wouldn't go with a "defend the city" game mode, i would make it a 1st person hero based game, maybe make your main character a superhero xD, and make him fight crime and eventually lead him up to a climactic battle, make the player play out a story.

    Now keep in mind im no super wiz with the editor, but i can usually get it to do what i want. For me the editor was hard to understand coming from left 4 dead mapmaking. But after a while (ive been using it for maybe a month and a half) you will see that it is REALLLY easy for the most part, some of the best tutorials are the ones that generalize the trigger and data editor for you. If you look up specifics then you only learn about that small group of trigger stuff, so i would recommend watching the tutorials that dont really tell you everything, but make you think for yourself (OneTowSC is good, he tells you what to do, but tells you what else you could do with the same trigger basics) other than that, its just learn by doing, set out for a goal and spend the next weekend of your life working towards finding out how to do it, and you will find that in later experiences you will be better able to do what you need without asking the Mapster forums whenever you need a trigger.

    Yes it is a lot like DoW ( one of my favorite games, and like arithi basin if you play wow) and yes you get a hero, and the heros do not change teams if they are killed

    i have an idea, and it goes like this.

    - 10 Players

    - 5 groups of 2

    - each player gets a base and a small army, with new units spawning every so often (autospawn)

    - No upgrading

    - You gain the units you kill ( meaning every units you "kill" just becomes part of your army)

    - Capture points ( holding the points increase your units spawn rate)

    - Artifacts ( the only way to upgrade your army is to obtain artifacts, so getting an artifact will say give you roaches instead of lings)

    - Over time new areas/artifacts/capture points become available

    - At random, one player will gain a buff and another will gain a debuff, but only when triggered ( say someone has held the same point for 5min which will trigger the buffs, someone gets a debuff and a random player gets a good buff)

    - Random bad things ( say you go to get an artifact and fight for it and win it, but instead of upgrading your units, it downgrades them, or kills some of them)

    - The goal would be to eliminate the other players

    - special things ( for controlling a point for a certain amount of time, you get something special like creep in a small area or a turret or something)

    - balance of power ( No 1 team can control anything for to long, after a certain amount of time debuffs kick in, making it impossible to hold out against other players)

    This is just my first thought into it and i'm definitely open to new ideas. Anyone who wants to help is more than welcome

    Simply have your hatchery make your workers with no rally point, then have a periodic trigger to order all workers for that player begin to gather minerals. then turn off the trigger when you dont need anymore workers.

    Hello, your tutorials are great, i have learned everything i know about the editor from them. But anyway, i have a question- is there a way to make the trees or terrain objects register as camera blocks? like in WoW when you go to close to a tree your camera is pushed forward instead of going through it as it does here.

    ive uploaded it. and more info: it is a survival map where you get an autospawn army and have to hold off waves of attack for as long as you can. Your army has 5 tiers of upgraded units, or you can upgrade weapons and armor. you have scv's that can build certain structures (there are no medics so the scv can build a healing building) and if you manage to hold out for the full 30min, a boss comes into your base and if you can kill him, you win.

    <<reply 2776 I really like this idea, and im willing to help however i can, i good with buttons and ability binding and i can do a lot with triggers.

    Just a suggestion, for simplicity reason, have this "radiation" meteor simply make creep. Then make creep drain life and unit speed for enemys, that way you dont have to spend forever making an aura effect to do that.
