i had an idea for a map today, i want to share it as a starting point for someone else. I already have a map under construction but i thought this would be a cool idea to share, i know i would play a game like this if it were made well enough. The map idea is like a big Chase, some players run away building up small defenses to fend off the chasers and say every 5min or so the 'run away' players must move on. This is were the strategy comes in, the chasers must also move after 5min but they do not know where the 'run aways' will go. Say the 'run aways' go to a different spot than the chasers, the runaways get a hole 5min of resource gathering and unit building unhindered by the chasers. Then after a few turns maybe the 'runaways' are strong enough to defeat the chasers, which would end the game. When i think of this i think of a big chess board and the 'runaways' must move 1 space every 5min, and the chasers must predict where they will go and follow them until they have dwindled down the runaways enough to kill them. I was also thinking that maybe you could have a big wave of zerg come and kill the runaways temporary camps after the 5min is up, they would get keep their big buildings of course but like the units and such that they cannot bring might be killed by this wave simply to get them off the map and make room for new ones. I was also thinking that the chasers would have a permanent home base, and would have to send their units via transports to the attack the runaways. This is just an idea i would like to see in a map and is up for grabs.
I need a person who is great with heros, somebody who can make them and make their abilities look good. I need only 4 heros made with a max level of 20, they wont need any new abilities, just maybe some changes to abilities already in the editor. They will each need 5 abilities, all level-able. And they will each be totally different, 1 being ranged, 1 melee, 1 support, and 1 magic. There will be no hero shop or items. I know this is a lot and do not expect it to be done overnight. I am very open to suggestions and I appreciate any insight you might have. Thx

So far I have done all the trigger/data work for this project, Terrain was done by Selfcreation
The map is kind of simple, I have been working 'off and on' on it for a few months, It is a basic survival game with a few twists, for example instead of purchasing units you must capture certain objects that in turn let you buy a unit upgrade. As far as the team, its just me. Selfcreation did the terrain for me but everything else is my doing.
I want to know what kind of terrain people like the most. Do you prefer woods or city? grass or concrete type stuff? would you rather play a map with lots of space or a lot of doodads everywhere? Please tell me your opinion!
I need someone to help rebuild the terrain of my map, as of now it is just a blob that i made to start from, but i have tried to make it better several times and due to the fact that im the worst terrainer person on the planet, it still looks like poop. I went to the terrain section of the forums (under development) and looked at the weekly terrain projects and i was hoping to have my map look about 1/4 as good as one of those (which is still 10x better than mine is now). I would like to keep the outdoors look to my map but other than that, i dont care what is changed. Most of the objects in my map can be moved so do not worry about building around the objects. PM me if you need to know anything else. I have attached the map so you can see how much work your in for.
How would i go about making a random trigger, like at a random time and place, _unit spawns at _location. Of course the location and time would have boundaries, like any random time between 2 and 4 minutes, and any random place within Region1. thx
call me a noob, but i cannot seem to find what you are talking about at all. Im lookin all over the actor i made and i can see no art- scale anywhere, not even on other units o.0
Im making my own custom unit based off one of the SS_units but its WAY to big and i have yet to figure out how to shrink it. i cannot find any way to do so.

how would i go about starting a timer, like a timer in the top right corner of the screen that every player can see, i needs to count up from 1 to 7min and 30 seconds. The timer window would read- Player [playername] has controlled unit X for [time]. It should start when any player gains control of unit X, and reset if he loses control. Any help is appreciated (maybe having the window with the timer change color according the player that owns the unit would be cool).
