    So I was trying to make a footprint, after finishing, I switch back to the actor I'm working on, switch back to the footprint, and it's all grey again, as if I had just started anew.

    I look at the built in footprints, dimensions are correct, but they're all grey, as if nothing is filled in. What's the deal?

    The "cameras" that you place in the editor, think of them as preset values for the game camera to use.

    When you pan, you're panning the game camera. When you rotate the view, you're rotating the game camera. Default game camera is just a camera with no position values, the position values are taken from the player's start location.

    When you "apply camera", this is basically saying "move the game camera to be just like this other camera over this amount of time", it is NOT saying, "Hey game camera, you're done, other camera is going to take over right now".

    You can almost think of em like guideposts on a hiking trail.

    I'm trying to rotate a doodad to use as a ceiling for a 1st/3rd person map. I don't want to have to create a bunch of units for that, I'd rather it be doodads.

    -4? I thought those numbers were just vector components, so (-4,0,0) would have the same effect as (-1,0,0)... this not right?

    I tried doing it to a unit, but the problem I ran into is I couldn't get the actor to be applied to the unit. It was setup to with the actor, but the damned unit wouldn't show that as an actor in it's tree view. Data editor is more trouble than it's worth... f-ing thing doesn't even work half the time...

    I can't siteops to do ANYTHING! I'm trying to flip doodads around to act as a ceiling, but NOTHING is happening! I make a site operation actor, go to the "hosting" tab of the actor I want to add the site op to,and add it in the "site operations" list. It NEVER does ANYTHING! WTF is going on???

    I can't seem to get this working. I want to rotate a doodad using a site operation, and it simply isn't responding to it.

    I've taken the garage model to test it, and I'm trying to flip it on its side. I've created another actor, an explicit rotation site operation, and named it "garageSiteOp". Under "Hosting" with the garage actor, I've added "garageSiteOp" to the "Host Site Operations" list, and nothing happens. I've tried several different vectors for "up" and "forward", nothing changes it.

    I'm getting very frustrated.
