Hey everybody! I used to make maps for Starcraft and Warcraft III (read: make, but not finish, unfortunately), and a lot of times I'd see some other map with a cool sound effect/loop and "borrow" it for my map. Well today I was looking through my old Warcraft III maps for a little bit of nostalgia, and I found one of my old survival horror maps that never saw the light of day. Playing around in the editor, I found an imported sound loop that was pretty cool. I had gotten it from an old Starcraft map, but I don't remember which one. :( I DO remember, however, that I had asked the map maker where they got this loop from and they couldn't remember either.
So, I was just curious if anybody here has heard this loop before and if they know where it came from. It's not super important, I'm just extremely curious now!
Looks like we can't attach stuff here, but I've made a thread in a forum for another game I enjoy, and attached it there.

Easy, set the distance of the camera to something REALLY REALLY low, so that way when you rotate, it seems as though you're rotating the camera, not rotating the camera around some point. Then, of course, you have to change the camera's x,y, and z coordinates to get it as close as it was originally.
If you want it to go EVEN faster, don't use the distance between points function. That uses square roots, but for this problem, there is no need. Since you are COMPARING distances, rather than printing them out, you can simply compare a^2 vs b^2 rather than a vs. b. This saves you from using a costly square root operation. Just make your own squareDist function that returns the distance squared.
I was searching Steam, when i came across an old game...
ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 3: PLATINUM! for $29.99
I was so exited, i purchased it. I personally LOVE this game, and can't wait for Rollercoaster Tycoon 4.
Anyone else played this game?
I don't think there ever will be a RCT4. Apparently Chris Sawyer (owner of the IP) sued atari or frontier or whoever you sue for this sort of thing) because they didn't pay the right amount for royalties.
store the x and y values of one point, and the x and y values of the difference between the two points divided by however many units you want to place minus 1. Then loop from 0 to the number of units and multiply i by the difference and add the coordinates of point A.
Yeah, didn't notice they changed the ending of Portal 1 :P.
What are you talking about? They didn't change the ending. Didn't you hear the voice at the end of Portal 1 say "thank you for assuming the party associate position" and drag you away... presumably back to your cell.
Noooo... let those damn dota maps die while their hordes of followers flock to league of legends! Just let it go! I don't want this to turn into wc3 again where 90% of the page is just DOTA DOTA DOTA PROZ ONLY DOTA DOTA!!!
Wait what!!??? We can't do those anymore??? I remember making those in the beta, I thought Wow cool! So apparently we can't do them anymore? That stinks... :(

Probably protected. Google "Starcraft OSMAP" to unprotect any map.

AHA! Somebody found it! http://www.artofsound.us/ (#22)
