I opened the map with mpqedit and then i copied out all string files from the localization of the editor i am using, created a fodler for enGB and then it was working for enGB without localization errors, i didnt test it with Localization as a folder, so to be sure youz have to add all important languages there... cant test it with other localizations, i just have engb and enus on my pc, but i try it now with the other folder, sec
I want to check how good protection is before i upload my map but i can not find the maps in general, are they just stored into cache that locked maps can not be copied/opened whatever in general?
I've created a testmap and wanted to publish it but the editor says: Variant definition not valid appdata\local\temp\starcraftiitemp\publish/mapname.sc2map/LargeImage.dds
i have just added 1 unit 1 point 1 region 1 trigger and 1 hcange on a unit thats all so i have no clue where this error comes from
If you create a custom action and use it in a trigger, it always waits until it finishes.
Is there a way to make it not wait or is that at least possible to do with functions?
Anyone knows if theres a way to get the acutal damage a unit deals? because if you have any abilities increasing it you cant use the value from the catalog, for life you can use units life maximum instead of unit type life maximum, i really do need this(i dont want to make a workaround with custom value and all abilities changing the number)

But every map has access to any of the banks, you just have to know the names and the key section.
So i mentioned this because there you could make maps which could interfere by using the same bankfilename or you could even create maps which allow you to cheat in maps
yes you can modify bank files of other maps even if thats stupid, but the bank file does not know which game belongs to it so when playing a map it could rdelete entries in the bankfile of another map.
But everyone who would do this wont really get positive feedback for that lol
But if you mean in modifying bank files yes thats possible you could make maps which allow you to cheat in another map if you know how its wrtitten or for encryption how to de/encrypt it
So you shoudl take a unique name to prevent this if its unwanted...
just savegame or hero or bank would be totally stupid

You have to activate thread in options of the action to make it not wait!

So as long protected maps will je judgeable meaning if the custom map function will work, i'm in ^^

How to find a units life points? i tried it with
Catalog Field Value Get Catalog: Units Entry: "Marine" Field Path: "Life Maximum" Player: 1
But this doesnt work...

Just to help you a bit:
in my cardmap every card a player is drawing is a single dialog with invisible dialog border
then create a button first of the size the card should be and then create all dialog items on it
dont forget to save all dialog items always into variables and they have to be modified every time drawing or dropping a card!
And when using the card you have to ask which dialog item (button) is used, dont forget to save information in the dialog which card it it!

When i follow the tutorial i have 10% texts correct (at least in editor) rest doesnt show up and goes to paramvalues.
So how can i do this?
