    Well i didnt play it but just went quickly in the missions to see the terrain. Although i went into last zeg mission "omega" and there was no text or objectives, just paramvalue?

     

    Just out of curiosity, how many people worked on this project? And for how long?

    The voice acting is perfect! Doing dehaka must have been quite hard but pronogo managed to almost fool me into thinking its dehaka voiceactor himself!

     

    a) Void crystal idea "Dance with me": There are 2 crystals. 1 white beam other dark beam. Dark beam casts a dot on either player 1 or 2. The dark beam dot can only affect 1 player and will effect all units of affected player.

    This dot will deplete few hp each seconds. Light beam will cast a dot on either player 1 or 2 (all units) that offers immunity to dark beam. Players need to keep each unit together to cancel the dot effect. Players also need to evade the boss spells,circles but have to do so in unison. Every time they go apart the dot will take effect and damage player.

    White beam is neutral and cant be killed unless dark beam is slayed.

     

    U could make player 1 have like a dark aura and player 2 white aura on units. I would write something simple like: White negates dark in the crystal description. I think ability could be a fun way to make ally cop-orate. Or maybe make this crystal not heal the boss and make it invulnerable? so we can dance with the boss till the night.

     

     

    b) Bonus: One thing that has been bothering me is the bonus timing. In blizzard co-op maps all bonus have 2 parts in them except hold out missions. You put 1 objective because it would take to much away from fighting the bosses but creating 1 is to easy. So i would either put the bonus around after 2nd boss- killing 3d boss.  And since its so late in game i would tighten the bonus area defense.

     

    c) Boss: Another thing that has been bothering me is that the boss dont attack u when u move in their vicinity, unless off course u either attack them or the timer runs down. It dosnt make sense story wise that the boss will just ignore you. So i thought why not put all the bosses in egg form.

    This way they dont "see you" and cant attack u "story wise". Once the timer runs down they hatch from the giant egg.

     

    d) I tested this map a lot and its hard to test it when u have to play it with teammate. Im running out of test ideas^^, so if u have some area that u are concerned let me know!

     

    PS: So the map "primal ascension" has gone huge changes! Unfortunately we haven't been able to post them, they where valid as of april 1.

    Outsider has transferred the ownership of this map and all of his maps to me. Also any map he makes in the future will belong to me.

    Yes that was really a good call u made. I thought: wait how will he deal with the fact that i can ignore some of these crystals? but your idea to include heal as well was quite good thinking there.

     

    I have 1 idea. Corruption: Void crystal can places a dot on one unit. If u dont kill that unit while it transforms it will turn into amons minion. Unit will glow red and have increased stats. The corruption will spread once a unit is corrupted to another nearby unit.

     

    One thing i noticed that u wrote what each crystal does and so far i faced slow and cloak. But i think it would be good if u just wrote it beneath the heal info: http://imgur.com/a/vefWi

    Would it be to much work if u also changed each crystal into a specific color? The crystal ball and the crystal beam? The players could react faster when they see a familiar color.

    And this one has been bothering me since the map has been published. Every time i play my ally never attacks the crystals, 9/10 times they go for the boss for 3 minutes. I tried to explain but sometimes i would get russians and polish.

    It would be great if the voice-actor could emphasize the importance of the crystals ability to heal.

    Wow u even put my name as tester. Makes me look like a professional, even thought my name makes me look like a moron ^^.

     

    I cant post feedback on battle.net since im sharing account with bro and he dosnt want me to write on his "precious" account, so i leave feedback here. But not often since i believe there isn't much to leave feedback about, except waves(and i dont want to spam this thread)

     

    So i was wondering will you include easy,hard,brutal? I would love to test this on harder because i like a challenge. Would be nice to see bosses spawn earlier and face tougher bosses.

    Just played it and have to say the terraining is breathtaking. If someone asked: how would it be to live in the prehistoric days i would say: Just play this map. The ancient pools, the sand... aah. When someone can make terrain alive like this its...art.

    he managed to slip through the cracks but later i havent seen any ash worm^^. i think he got scared^^

     

    What do you think about the idea of adding like a corrupted terrain (around the egg areas)? Like dehaka could say: this terrain u cant build here. It would avoid commanders like karax just building canons and ignoring the ashworm. It would force u to use units and get rid of it.

    If this is 20 % im really excited to see 100% finished.  

     

    I tired a mass lurker army. My ally wasn't really that much of a help but i saw that some bases could have more detection. Like the 2nd boss area. 

     

    If u are going for a voiceover im not sure what blizzard has planned. If a map wins will they use that voice or remove it? U are using dehaka he will definitely be a commander in the future, so i dont think they be able to use him at all. If the voice is only intended for audio accessibility than it dosnt really matter.

    Yeah you right. But u could also just write the time and exclude the hp. The hp bar could be shown on the unit. 

    Blizzard didnt have these headaches because they always include boring objectives that require one sentence ^^

    I think your map is balanced on normal im just not sure about the eggs and the drain dmg. On hard and brutal you would have to either 

    a) Increase drain damage

    b) Reduce eggs

    c) both

     

    Even though i think the drain damage is fine on normal 20 eggs seems still a lot. The 20 eggs seem like something that should be on easy level. So for normal 18-16 could do the trick.

    Im not sure but next time i will try and find a partner who plays normal regularly. So far i got mixed skill level.

     1. Dehaka wants special essence of a quilgor and a primalisk. Each is located at the 2 bonus areas. Unfortunately other primals are spawning from caves and attacking this unit. U will have to defend it for a period of time. Either

    a) Defend it for the whole game with moderate small waves. To make this bonus accessible u can quick travel from your base to bonus via a cave.

     

    b) Defend it by a timer without a quick travel options.

    Only problem commanders with static defense would shine here. Except if the bonus is wandering a bit around.


    c) its the same like b) only u have to destroy the rocks which have a lot of hp. Its the same like your map but nasty primals continuously spawn from cave and attack the bonus. Once they are destroyed the primal unit will be safe from the attacks and dehaka can feast.

     

    The quilgor special unit could be bigger in size and have huge amount of hp. So he can deal with the attack himself early.

     


    2. Amons corruption has changes the environment drastically. Dehakas pack has no food source to survive. Help the primals in slaying critter so they can eat the flesh. Amons primals will do the same. Dont let amons primals kill more than ?? critters. Also feed of other scavenging critters that try to steal the meat. The last remaining critters are at the 2 bonus locations.

    Played again just now did u change something? The bosses where kinda ultra easy. Waves where ok.

     

    The ash worm still has some ping bugs. U might also consider giving the ash worm detection since its easy to kill him with stealth.

     

    Also u probably wont get that much feedback here. U would benefit posting it on battle.net forum.Some of my ally leaved at start of game. I think they saw the awful terrein and thought this map is made by a noob ^^.

    I played it with an ally. He was kerrigan and i was artanis.  I only played it twice solo when it was alpha release, now im always playing with ally.

    I will try next time and focus on cheese strategy. I used all the commanders and so far kerrigan is the strongest. But not because of this map, she is just op.

     

    I forgot to mention did u add more difficulty's? Or is there just 1 now? Because i picked hard difficulty. 

    I dont have a problem with this map its just i try to get into a mindset of someone who plays normal difficulty. I play hard/brutal most of times. So its just my opinion that someone that chooses normal will have a bit of a challenge here. I think i would tone some stuff done for the normal folks.

    - The primal hathery second expansion is a really great idea. I just think his dmg is a bit high for early game... i need that 2nd fast.

     

    - The ashworm said they spawn yet they didnt, only after 2nd boss. Also they ash worm seem a bit to strong for normal difficulty. The indicator that they will spawn dosnt leave, it shows on the minimap and stays. Later it becomes confusing when your minimap blinks 5 times.

     

    - I love that u added more units, primal ultralish,raoches also these primal trees that attack u. What do you think of modifying their hp,dmg so they are a bit more beefy?

     

    - The bonus objective seems a bit disjointed from the gameplay. Although i like that u try something creative and dont just do the casual " kill generic unit/building" thing.

     

    - The difficulty overall feels hard rather than normal. If u wont add any more difficulty than its ok i guess. But now for normal is quite challenging. The enemy sheer units and defenses are a bit much. 

     

    - The egg drain damage is fine now, maybe add a bit more damage just tiny bit more. I lost 5 eggs and was fooling around with an all tempest army.

     

    The map is more and more fun with each version. I still feel that the primal units have even more potential in this map, with some interesting gameplay mechanic outside the boss gameplay.

    Lol yeah the brown terreining was a bit hard on the eyes. But i played shadow of xelnaga and u have some terrain talent. U get there ^^

     

    What do you think about using some custom primal models from this site? The bosses look ok except the giant ravanger is kinda boring. Its funny ghostnova has 3 custom models from your first 3 bosses.
