    Hey Mapsters

    I have been struggling with this for a while now, I know how to do it in "c plus plus" because there is functions for it there, but I can seem to find any in the editor. if people would have information on how I could do it, it would be great.

    example if you are not sure what I am asking for

    string "3516-2154-2213"

    then I would like a function to take only a part of the string like "2154"

    and for what purpose? to be able to store multiply data in one string.

    Hey mapsters, so i have been thinking the last few days on how to build this small system. basicly it has to link building together (when i say link i mean visual ligtning or some sort of energi) and below you can see what i mean (power source = power) (a, b, c, d = building) (<-> = visual link, <-x-> = no power flow) power source <-------> a <-------> b <-------> c <-------> d the line above shows you that a is connected to b and b is connected to c. now if b is destoryed. it would look like this: power source <------> a <---x---> b destoryed <---x---> c <---x---> d my idea would be to use the pylons, and make them so they require power, but im not sure that i can get an actor to check if it is powered or not (for the visual effect to show or not), and i am not sure how to define the connection between the building/pylons (to make the visual connection between the two building)

    Hey guys, let me setup the example quick.
    First we have a command center and a SCV and some minerals.
    So we got all the basic's setup, now i want to make the one and only SCV harvest/gather.
    So i make an action that says:
    Unit - Order SCV [76.60, 247.41] to (SCV - Gather targeting Mineral Field [73.00, 247.50]) (Replace Existing Orders)
    and i make sure that the one and only SCV has his gather ability and it is even on the command cards aswell.
    And when i start the game it says.
    Trigger Error in 'gt_MeleeInitialization_Func': The ability command 'SCVHarvest(0)' is missing a target.

    Plz do explain the complex situation or what the fuck else is happning her.

    2nd if you are still reading, how do i fix the command cards so they dont change by them self.

    Its funny how everybodys standards have drop below zero, if we look back at Warcraft 3, and took a nice polished tower defenSe, the score would max, and i mean max hit 5/10, you would need to make something more then just the simple tower defense style (mob spawn, tower kill them, and so on).

    this is really the problem on battlenet at the moment, 90% of the maps on battlenet are shit. I'm not saying that you need to invent a new game gene, but atleast try to give it a little more depth to the standard tower defense.

    and if you are looking for an idea to make a tower defense, check out some of the old warcraft 3 maps. much better then that crap we have one battlenet atm. and last but not least, our new editor is so much more powerfull then the old one, so i can't really see the problem.

    and i apologize for my grammar.

    hey, just try and make it more clear what i want.

    i want to change/remove the "Sub Image" i dont know what other it is call but it is the green image in the middel statmenu, that is just above the hp.
    hope you guys know what i mean.

    posted a message on Behavior Attributes not working with trigger.

    Hey sc2mapsters, as the title says i can't get the behavior attribute to work though triggers, so what i have done so far is to create 6 attributes and adds them to my unit/hero under "Behavior - Behavior +" and i have checked of Heroic under "Unit - Attributes" and also checked off Hero under "Unit - Flags"

    i have tryed both trigger

    Add Behavior
    Add Behavior (player)

    but none of them seems to work.

    anybody know a solutions

    I noticed that this question have been asked before, but without any anwser so I'm asking again, how dose the Slider work's so far i can create the slider but i can't connect any variable to it and it is not moveable. so my question is how to connect variable to the slider.

    you have made something wrong, i just tested it quick in a new map, and yes i can see the units attack animation but im not able to attack them, so if you can tell me what effect the unit with 100 range used, i might be able to help you.
