The map I made isn't crazy loaded. Its only 20 mins of gameplay, not a ton of units, simple triggers, couple cinematics and a lot of doodads...nothing crazy.
Does importing things do anything to your file size?
I've been working on a campaign map and was hoping to get some feedback on it. I've been trying for the last couple of weeks to upload the map file and its been timing out and going to to an Error page. I randomly remember to give it a try during the week, it fails and then I go about my merry way, but now I'm getting frustrated! :) Just now, I tried to upload someone else's map and it works totally fine! Weird. I then noticed that my map file is a lot bigger than the other person's map file. Their file is around 6,000KB and mine is around 600,000KB!! I think this is an issue.
I updated the wiki page so you can click on the wiki that works...so confusing. I was going through and trying to update the old wiki....all the links are dead since the last curse update...and decided this is a waste of time. Apologies if I'm over-stepping my bounds as a new person to this website.
Curse did some updating and now the wiki is pretty screwed up. The Wiki that you click on in the top tool bar. Pretty much every link linked to a mapster page has been scrambled. I fixed the Beginners sections as well as the Customizing the Editor section. As I am doing this, I decided to check on the secret down-low wiki and it seems to be fine and dandy. This begs the questions...Is it worth it for us to fix the old/current wiki?
If it is worth it, please pick a section and go through it checking for dead links. If it is dead, then look up the article in the search bar and copy the url and update it for us. Pretty mind numbing, but doable.
I got all the links for "Editing for Beginners" section fixed. Two of them were missing completely. I couldn't find them in the stacks. I wrote MISSING next to them....maybe someone else will have more luck.
Cool. Thanks for the tip. You should post this in the wiki tutorials for AI. That section is very weak and outdated. I had to search the stacks for advice on how to do an AI. A lot of the entries are from 2010 and are not useful at all.
The AI section in the wiki tutorial is pretty weak. Any chance we could clean up some of this and post it in there? I'd be happy to try and cut and paste and you guys can review.

Any chance we can just directly link the new wiki from the home page top tool bar?

Need a custom campaign person to submit something!! Gotta represent the niche of the niche!

That is really annoying.

I'll try to update a few more sections as the night goes on. Anyone else we can recruit to update the links?
