Horologium Super-Cluster RPG

Had me a little fun over the weekend, decided to make a bomb ability for Bob, it is about finished, and isn't really that complicated an ability. Still so fun to watch though. So fun in fact I decided to make a short video of it.

Leaving 2 videos showing Imp and Casper a little bit too. Yes, I need to practice making videos it is true, but enjoy anyways.

Alpha Testing has Begun!

Been going a little slower than I would like with my project lately, taking care of newborn twins will do that. Project is making some progress, albeit slowly. Main issue I'm having is being happy with the 19 abilities Bob gets, most of them are done, just 1 or 2 I need to figure out to be useful/necrolike/not overpowering. Will likely start on Jack from there, I have been ignoring him for far too long now. Most of his abilities will be a snap anyways, buffs/heals are easy.

What's Next?

So what's next for this project? Well I have been throwing minibosses in the first 2 areas, a trend that will continue throughout the map. They will be far less scripted than the main bosses, but difficult with rewards nonetheless. Dialogs will be back soon, and in greater numbers. One big thing I need to get going on before making more areas/monsters is giving my other 3 classes their spells, making them useable, so I can get some good playtesting on each from my alpha testers, start balancing them some, make each of them useful in their own ways. I might add another class or two if I feel a role in the game isn't being filled somehow, besides of course the role of having a crappy class no one wants to play. It isn't too likely at this time though.

After my heroes have all their abilities, next up will be adding quests/content to the first areas, add more gameplay features/customizability. And of course I will be designing monsters/bosses for Area 3, as I'm sure by this time any who test will want something new to venture into. At least I certainly will, my more ambitious monster designs will be saved for later areas. I will also likely be adding more user-friendliness to the project as well, so a new player can come in and know wtf is going on. This feature however, is beyond low on my priority list right now, so many fun/cool things to add besides explaining every little detail in some textbox.....
