Part of this trigger specifies a rebuild count. When it set it to zero, the first unit doesn't build at all, like the trigger action was never created. When I set it to one, the unit is REbuilt once. I can't find a way to make only ONE unit with NO rebuild after the initial one is built. Anyone got an idea or workaround?
I think its because when you set it to one, it will only rebuild once because your trigger takes into account the units you have in field. The moment you add a unit, the moment that trigger won't work. Try making the system like this:
Once there are no units on the field, you will need to have a # set aside for how many units you are going to respawn. Next, give that value to the "respawning" trigger. Have another trigger aside that checks if the value of units in the field is now the same as the value, then have the respawning trigger turn off.
update: sorry if my tip is too conceptual, can anyone quickly make a trigger and screenshot it?
Sorry I don't quite follow how making an additional trigger to respawn my unit would help me make fewer of them. Maybe I'm not being clear enough: I don't want to respawn any units - just tell the AI to build a single bully unit once. No rebuild, no respawn.
oh okay lol, i misunderstood. I thought you had trouble spawn x number of units and that the trigger would only spit out one unit.
In that case, what you can do is make it so that the trigger has a condition where a variable is set to 0 and that when the trigger action goes through, add another action that sets that same variable to 1. This will make it fire once permenantly
Think of it like the useless box:
when the trigger fires, it will turn itself off immediately.... is that what you were looking for? :(
Update 1: Or are you having problems because when you fire your bully, the AI is being stubborn will still go about its business and continue to build that unit whenever it feels like it and you don't want it to?
Update 2: remember that the AI would have to have the necessary buildings, rescources, tech to build whatever unit you want it to build at that time.

No, neither "update" is correct or relevant actually. Thanks for your help but I'm not sure how I can be more clear here.
The trigger action I want to use: Add New Bully
When I set the "rebuild count" entry to 0 = trigger makes 0 units total
When I set the "rebuild count" entry to 1 = trigger makes 2 units total
What I want = 1 unit total
The trigger isn't executing multiple times so giving it some sort of limiting condition or turning it off won't fix the issue.
