Monday has come again, and though this litters us with pesky obligations, let good things come to those who work as well: a new weekly terraining exercise! This week's theme is going to be "The Crater", which means I want to see terrains that form some sort of impact crater from a meteor, missile blast, or what-have-you. Just leave out the volcano's, that's going to be our theme for next week. For now, blast them lads - curious to see what'll pop up this time.
Alaron, I see what you mean; I think you can do better. I didn't at all dislike this, though. The concept is very neat, and I like your use of the staircase doodad.
Actually it freakishly reminds0mbe a lot of geysers. Its uber freaky when you look down into them and just see a deep abyss going down to nothingness thats most like the relative center of the earth. Very realistic
I think what he's getting at is that the water would either not be there at all, or at least not on the surface because there is no atmosphere on the moon, ergo there would be no rain cycle, it'd just be ice under the surface or something. Also, to be a satellite you have to orbit a planet, a moon has more criteria than that :P
And what if I didn't use the term 'moon'? Is this a scientific exposition or a terrain art exercise? Also, please comment Blizzard for using the term 'moon' for Monlyth and Meinhoff. ( since these have atmosphere and life )
Weekly Terraining Exercise #82
Howdy how!

Oh, and enjoy your monday :)

Ironically this still fits the other entry I was working so i'll just submit it in this one :P
If you don't mind, I will also join the Weekly Terraining Exercise from now on <3 . I have an unending thirst for more spectacular maps.

I made this quickly before I went to bed yesterday. Pretty shoddy, but, what do you expect from and hour and a bits work, lol.
I hate being busy :(
This was a great WTE idea by the way, lots of really interesting terrains you could make from this.

Of course we don't mind - the more the merrier!

Let me voice this first, I am not a fan of making craters but here is a crater in the moon!!
Hi again. Here it is my version of the crater: deep and mysterious located on a forsaken moon.

The thing that bugs me the most is that there's water there. The moon doesn't have a(n) (strong) atmosphere, since you can see space

Monlyth is a moon, Meinhoff is a moon, but they have water and fauna. I said 'forsaken moon' because I didn't wanted to name it.
I think you compared it to Earth's moon :p ... well to be a moon doesn't mean it has to have no life. It must circle a planet.
