I figured I'd throw this out there since I don't really like working by myself, but I'm looking for some assistance on my map. The map is a galactic conquest style map, however it has both space and ground portions. You can land troops on planets and fight on the ground, or use fleets in space. That part of it is inspired heavily by Solar Conquest on WC3 if anyone knows it.
The map is Halo themed, set in the Halo universe. It's a 3v3v1 style, with three covenant, three humans, and a flood player. There's a total of 15 planet surfaces that you can fight on and the space portion is quite large as well, putting heavy emphasis on strategic use of FTL jumps rather than just blindly flying around.
I've got a lot of the more basic stuff done, such as scaling and making most of the units. What would be left to get it to an acceptable state would be some trigger work, terrain for the various planets, and polishing of the units. I do have grander plans but for right now I want to focus on getting the map to a playable state.
Here's that checklist from the sticky for further information if you're interested.
1: What region do you play in?
America
2: What time zone are you, and what hours are you available?
I have flexible hours, so whenever.
3: What are some methods of contact(msn, skype, AIM, etc..)?
MSN/skype, forum pms.
4: What are you doing for this project?
Everything so far.
5: What roles do you need filled?
Preferably someone with advanced knowledge on data editing, some basic trigger knowledge would be helpful as well, a terrainer is always welcomed. Really all roles as I am fairly mediocre, so having additional help in all fields would be nice. But priorities are triggers and some data knowledge.
8: How much time are you willing to invest in this project per week?
Already investing a lot of time, will continue to do so.
I dunno the original game but I'd help, no experience in triggering but something decent on data and good terraining. Play also on americas and have flexible hours.

Alright, I've never worked on a team before so not entirely sure how to go about this. So for starters how about you both add me on skype and I can go into more detail and send you my map so you can take a look. My email is [email protected].
Well, we don't need cams or mics really, skype has a text function lol. I also have steam if you'd prefer to use that, however I don't know if I can send files through steam, as I never use it for chatting or anything.
@Colt556: Go Also got steam (don't know either how to share more than screenshots), Skype's alright, I just though you wanted to use video or something.

Naw, it's just the only half-decent chat program I know now that they closed off MSN... not that that stops me from still using MSN, but most people can't use MSN anymore. So Skype it is.
Most of what I am offering is reference, know-how and trading work.
I'm current helping a major way with one project, Diplomacy of War 2 (Check out the structures I taught the guy how to make in the map "DOW 2"). He's made some awesome Zerg hybrid structures.
Well I'm not one to turn down help, however let me clarify what exactly you're offering. You're not going to actually do work on the map, but provide essentially consultant work and teach me how to use the editor better? Or am I misunderstanding.
Also, for those structures, are those made purely through actors n whatnot, using in game models? Cuz they don't even remotely resemble vanilla stuff.
Welp, as I said I'm not going to turn you down, more help means things get done faster. Hit me up on skype and let me know when you're usually around. I'll send you the map so you can look it over and give you the run-down. For now I'm going to sleep, so if you're around in like 10 hours I'll be on then.

9: Who else is working on the project?
Just me.
I promise you that your chances of getting help on this project are practically zero unless you add more detail and screenshots of your progress.
I'm up for it. I can do everything you asked for; data, triggers, terraining.
Solar Conquest was one of my favourite WC3 maps and I really want something like it to come out in SC2.

I might be willing to help.

Ya its pretty much what I've been helping the others with.
There are still a good amount of people who know more about the editor than I do left in the community but its not nearly as many as there used to be.
What I do is show via streams/teamviewer/Skype etc
Well, last time I worked on my map was back during launch, so I have forgotten much of what I learned back then. So being re-taught would be nice
I am happy to join any Space based 4x rts game developments. Also I played Solar Conquest lot in w3.
Laughed while reading this.
@Hookah604: Go
And I am happy to accept anyone who wants to help, What exactly can you do, though?
@EternalWraith: Go
I have an idea why you laughed, but please explain it to me so that I can be sure.
Anything other than modeling, voice acting and proper grammar. But best i can do is triggers.
Check out my maps.
