I considered doing voice effects, but until I can find a good Raynor, Stukov and Artanis, it won't be happening. In the meantime here is something I was messing around with.
Thx, but I was wondering if you had the nintendo 64 version, not the SC1 map, which I already have. The SC1 map doesn't have the original briefing music, amongst other things.
"Let's recap—I was betrayed and killed, shot into space, captured by the zerg, resurrected and infested, cured, given to Moebius to research the protoss cure, and was instead experimented on as the cure slowly failed. Everyone up to speed? Good."
He says he was cured, so it doesn't make sense that the same infestation "came back".
I don't think Stukov was ever meant to be psychic. Ethan Stewart was an infested terran who was powerful yet also not a psychic. They probably only used a ghost for Stukov's SC1 sprite because it looked the most professional, not because he was psychic.
It's pretty much identical to HoTS's version. Blizzard seems to have based Stukov entirely on that concept art, as opposed to his brood war portrait/cinematic model.
I am trying to see if I can get a decent Stukov going but I'm no pro voice actor I'm just having fun. I've been trying to recreate Fenix's voice for my own campaign and while it's not exactly like it should be I might be able to do Taldarin. Let me know what you think Gradius.
It's a good start. What program are you using? You should clean up the sample a little bit before you apply the effects, to get rid of those clicks & pops. The ideal goal is to remove the noise floor completely. Any compressor or noise-gate should be able to do the trick. Fenix also needs a stronger flanger. As always, I'd be happy to volunteer my efforts to your campaign as well.
Now that the whole infested Stukov business is a firm part of SC canon, I thought it would be worth it to do a remake for StarCraft 2 using the SCBW mod.
As some of you may know, the gameplay for the original was pretty boring. I'm wondering if I should do a straight port or add some new abilities and/or boss fights. Might be a while before this gets released, but I'll keep chipping away at it. Might even add custom voice acting if any skilled VAs volunteer.

That Stukov is damn sexy GN. Cleans up nice after those protoss nanites get to work on him. :P

My terrain is a little different, I'm using Kal'Dir as the base. I like what you guys did with the infested area though.
