SC2Mapster

We are working on a coop campaign mode for the mod similar to the Starcraft 2 commander coop. It means you will be able to collect in game credits by playing our maps and you will be able to unlock different heroes of Warcraft 2 with these credits. Each hero will have altered tech-tree with different play styles including new units, structures, abilities and upgrades. The more altered the tech-tree the more expensive the hero will be. You will be able to choose the default tech tree of both races as a start.

Currently I'm working on the tech-tree of these heroes:

Horde:

Teron Gorefiend: relying on hordes of undead, like skeletal grunts that have a chance to reanimate again, skeletal archers that infest enemies, death knights etc.

Gul'dan: Using warlocks, Daemons and other forbidden units. Using an Altered Warcraft 1 tech tree.

Zul'jin: Trolls. Instantly get Troll berserker upgrade, Dire Trolls, Bear Riders etc.

Cho'gall: Ogre Mage specialist. Instantly get Ogre-Mage upgrade and Bloodlust.

Alliance:

Turalyon: Paladin specialist. Instantly get Paladin and heal, have a greater healing upgrade.

Alleria: Elves. Instantly get Elven Ranger upgrade etc.

Lothar:  Leading the remnants of the Stormwind armies. Altered Warcraft 1 tech tree with conjurers, clerics etc.

Kurdan: Dwarven race.

Our newest Warcraft 2 map, Garden of War has been released

Added new patch, also uploaded the mods to NA server too

Wc2:

• Repair Build Added, you can right click on structures under construction with workers to make construction faster for additional resources Wall cost, build time and hp adjusted to the original
• Scout and Watch towers no more require Lumber Mill
• Rune blink periodically
• Invisibility won't create cloak distortion effect that busted invisible units to enemy
• Invisibility will be properly removed if a caster use a spell
• Unholy Armor, Flame Shield and Invisibility can target friendly and enemy units too.

Wc1:

• Invisibility won't create cloaking effect that busted invisible units
• invisibility will be properly removed if a unit cast spell
• Minor summoning reworked in classic gameplay mode to cast between 1-4 units depends on caster's mana
• Wall placement model changed

New patches and new warcraft 2 map, also i created an in game group called "Chronicles of Azeroth official, join to find players easier, get latest news and participate in our events:

Warcraft 2:

New Map: One Way In, One Way Out. 1v1 map with destructible rocks in the middle.

Gameplay:

• The following player options will be automatically enabled/disabled:
• simple ui disabled
• alerts enabled
• enemy unit selection enabled
• cancel button fixed for training,researching and upgrading
• reduced supply bonus on farms and town hall in modern gameplay mode from 6 to 3
• peons and peasants can build wall now (hold shift to place multiple ones)

Spells:

• Invisibility and Unholy Armor properly kill Sappers and Demo Squads
• units with Invisibility won't attack automatically and can not be detected
• Death Knights and Mages won't auto attack or flee while casting Death and Decay and Blizzard
• Death Knights and Mages won't be damaged by Death and Decay and Blizzard if they cast it on themselves
• Death and Decay and Blizzard deal more damage
• Death and Decay can target air and structures now
• changed Polymorph hotkey to y

Art:

• Towers will change their actor
• Replaced Elven Ranger model to help distinct it from Archers
• Replaced Troll Berserker model to help distinct it from Axethrowers
• Paladin heal actor fixed (again)
• Paladin received glow to help distinct it from knight
• Paladin movement speed actor slowed
• death and decay received sound
• changed the sound of blizzard
• Church building birth fixed
• added gold mine sound

Warcraft 1:

• The following options will be automatically enabled/disabled for every player:
• simple UI disabled
• enemy unit selection enabled
• alerts enabled
• Added walls to the game, you can build them from the Town Hall now
• reduced train, building and research times
• reworked casters: increased mana to 255 and changed the costs of the spells
• reworked rain of fire ability: will cost 25/sec, won't damage caster and need caster to be alive and stand still
• Cloud of Poison won't damage caster
• summoned units won't instantly die when their timed life expired, instead they will take periodic damage

Thank you very much. My first rts was also Warcraft 2 and its my personal favorite still. You can try modern gameplay mode wit him, its closer to the Sc2 style with unlimited selection, building queue, rally point, few autocastable abilities and increased supply/farm. He may find it easier to get into Wc2 with it. Host can select between them when he create a game.

Anyway today I added the Gryphon Rider and Dragon to the game so now you can enjoy the full tech-tree of Warcraft 2 :D

A quick update (if anyone read it at all):

-Added Submarine/Giant Turtle to the shipyard

- Corrected the cost of the following buildings: Scout/Watch Tower, Guard Tower, Cannon Tower

- Corrected the cost of Ogre Magi/Paladin upgrade

- Ships's are more seperated, less likely form a deathball

Balance changes:

-Increased Catapults fire period from 4 to 6

-Increased time of lumber harvest

Modern Gameplay mode changes:

-Added autocast for the following abilities: Heal, Raise Dead, Minor Summonings

-Increased the supply provided by Farms by 6.

Cosmetic:

-Added new Archer model and fixed attack missile.

-Added art for the Water Elemental's attack

Wc2:

New Map: Fierce Ocean Combat:

-Excelent for naval combats. Islands with no connection to each other.

Balance changes:

-Increased catapult and Ballista fire period from 4 to 6

-Increased Juggernaut and Battleship fire period to 6

-Increased Destroyers fire period to 4

-Increased Cannon Towers fire period to 4

-Increased time of lumber harvest

Modern Gameplay mode changes:

-Added autocast for the following abilities: Heal, Bloodlust, Raise Dead, Slow

-Increased the supply provided by Farms and Town Hall by 6.

Would you rather explore the oceans too? Then prepare for our next Wc2 map land-dwellers. It will be a Fierce Ocean Combat! This original Wc2 map is all about naval combat as every player start on one of the eight islands. There is no other way to conquer your foes than sailing your almighty armada and hoping your transport ships land safely.

With the next map we will add bug fixes and improvements too.

The following improvements are live:

Warcraft 1:

• -Damage system updated: Divided into two category
  -Minimum Damage:unaffected by armor
  -Random damage: -1 damage/armor
  (UI shows combined damage)
  -upgrades changed:
  -Level 1 weapons give +1 Minimal damage and +1 Random damage
  -Level 2 Weapons give +2 minimal damage
  -Level 1 and 2 armor gives +2 armor instead of 1
  -smaller improvements, bugfixes

Warcraft 2:

-Damage system updated:
- doing 50-100% of the maximum damage
- divided into two category
-basic damage: -1 damage/armor
-piercing damage: unaffected by armor
-ui shows effective damage (minimum damage dealt all the time-maximum damage)
- Fixed Elven Ranger update
- Added Dwarven Demolition Squad/Goblin Sapper
- small improvements, fixes

In my opinion the biggest Sc2 modding community is a place to discuss projects too. Should be at least.

Please stop this intense discussion, i can't read all these comments. What is with this community seriously.

Released Warcraft 2 remake alpha demo version. Pls keep in mind that it may contain bugs and less polished stuff, also most of the art is placeholder until i find better.
