Warning: Post will likely contain minor spoilers for a story scenario map I'm working on. So if you think you're gonna wanna play it later and want the whole story to be a surprise, don't read on! :P
The premise of the story is that the zerg have gotten wind of some terrans conducting vespene experiments. To investigate they sent middle management broodmother, Wargirl, and her lieutenant, Hockleberry, to investigate.
The overall look of the map should be of a terran controlled research world where the terran bases have lots of stocked up vespene (crates/etc), but outside the base is pretty barren (the vespene geysers the player can grab have little vespene in them). Heck all the enemy units grant a vespene bounty because this strange terran leader has even taken to coating his soldiers in vespene in trying to improve their combat experience!
Currently I just have it as a desert world with a single texture, but as long as it's a terran looking world, I don't mind if you change the tile set. You have free reign over most of the map, there's only a few small areas where I will provide some guidance. Since the player only has access to ground units (with the exception of Hockleberry) you're also free to change any hill's/valley's heights that can't be accessed via ground units as long as they still can't be accessed by ground units (basically just try not to make huge gameflow changes, unless you have a strong reason for it improving gameplay).
Here are the few areas that have some specifics:
1. The queen has a revival area in the bottom left. This should look like a fairly zergy pond type area like the first char mission, or zerus missions.
2. The terran science facility to the east. If the player doesn't destroy this in time, it creates a Protoss hero unit to send at the player. So this would be the one area to make it look like the terrans have gathered protoss tech
3. The terran bio dome to the west. This unleashes a zerg hero if not destroyed in time, so this would be an area to possibly add some zerg looking like stuff. But the terrans should probably (maybe I'm wrong) look like they have full control over any zerg stuff there.
4. Finally the north terran base will have a terran themed boss which I have yet to create. But most likely that means a bomb/missile theme. I'm thinking of having dialog of something like "Let me guess, this boss is gonna be an above average thor. Typical terrans." The thor will have been the enemy's intended final boss unit but upon this insult scampers to think of something new to send at the enemy (I will likely have a powerful thor sitting in the base that never becomes part of the attack waves).
So a lot of the gameplay is currently done (minus balancing). I probably won't send the file to anyone to terrain until I'm all done with all the gameplay (again with the exception of the balancing part). I should finish up within a week. I thought I'd go ahead and make this post now to see if anyone is interested.

Well gameplay is done, since no one is interested I suppose I'll start on the terrain myself then. :P
