I wanted to have a "release" sort of set up like a real game where everyone gets it at the same time (rather than whatever order they happen to wander to the site). If you don't want to give up your email nbd you can download directly as well
Unfortunately bnet doesn't support single player campaigns like this. If it was just one mission, fine, but the file sizes are too large and the bank files too complex to fit what Blizzard says it wants on bnet. So until that changes, I'll just send you all the map files next Friday (be sure to sign up, I'll send it out to the whole sign-up list at launch).
As for the motivation thing, I don't have any "trick." I'm just passionate about my map-making. It doesn't take any willpower for me (in fact, it's actually the opposite... sometimes I have to force myself away from optimizing 1 more trigger or terraining 1 more area when the duties of real life call). I'm just drawn to learning, creating, and testing my maps in the same way I hope all you guys are drawn to playing them :)
Uploading a gameplay snippet now, good god YouTube uploads take forever.
Also, thanks Deltron for your support throughout this, you're the man.
Well after spending an insane amount of time (well over 1 year) learning and working, and with the help of this awesome community, I'm releasing my project: LifeForce.
It's in late, late beta now and and am just optimizing a few things, so if you like epic single player campaigns that have:
- an upgrade panel that carries over between missions, like a Bliz campaign
- all new units/heroes/abilities/upgrades tech tree
- A storyline that considers your choices and changes depending on your actions
- 3 difficulties
- a ton of polish, testing and balancing work so it's professional and bug-free
...this could be just the SC2 experience you've been waiting for.
I have a lot of contacts in the web design industry so I had someone whip this up for me, would love to know what you think. Check my sig below. Thanks guys
EDIT: Here's a fresh gameplay video, feast your eyes :)
