It is a very unique tutorial but very lacking in its use... Why not explain more triggers to use with this Custom script.. like a jail or a region revive all? The way you have explained it only really works for RPG type games unfortunatly when my players in game die i need them to stay dead until a triggering unit enters region 001 but with the use of instantly transport they will not stay dead? could you add a version of IF THEN ELSE with that revive script and still have it work?
Seems like you can solve your own issue... I can't make every independent and random case like yours in a tutorial; however, you can apply the things I show to use in your map :D
Maybe the reason is the new patch, maybe it was like this before, but I have been noticing serious bugs lately. Mostly items disappearing...
Has anyone else experienced this since patch 1.1?
If you're using the method where you pick all items that have been dropped and hide them until the hero is back, you'll need to flag all your items as Drop On Death now. Otherwise, there's a tutorial on saving items using arrays to remember their arrangement in the tutorial section that would also work.
There is another alternative that uses the incapacitation effect from "Belly of the Beast." That way the items never fall on the ground and your inventory never rearranges itself. Also, you can still have your units play death animations.
I should probably write some tutorials....but I'm so lazyyyyyy.
Thanks for a quick reply. Silly me not trying out that. thought you said ctrl-v in the tutorial video. Supose you could save the entire hero with items and all upon dying? And turn off the automatic dropping of itmes somehow.

Sorry to interrupt your lazyness Zantai, but it would be great if you could explain this alternative...! :-P

I'd like to switch to this system actually... and do a tutorial on it too.
Thanks for the tutorial, OneTwo
Using a local variable, Hero, set to triggering unit, I still get syntax error on UnitRevive(lv_Hero);
Does it has to be typed differently after the patch or something?
@MeltAge: Go
press ctrl+D to see what the variables name is in raw form, probably "hero" instead of "Hero".
Either way I think this tutorial is out of date pretty much. I'll need to figure out a new system even for my rpg.
