Idk, but just played again, did great but at wave 2, as soon as they get into my hive wave 3 starts, i think it should be you have to kill the wave first, then the next wave will start, because eventually at wave 6 I had the base overrun by little marines and firebats and scvs and etc, got really annoying, and my creatures just kept sleeping, training, or eating while they were being attacked
I also noticed the nydus controls it self, maybe you can use a small amount of your treasures to buy units at the nydus? and u probably should add a 15-35 gameseconds of a cooldown each use? could be useful
Consider that the actual gameplay is not complete.
To solve your problems 2 features would be needed:
Allow to grab units by a simple UI instead of grabbing them around with the keeper hand, that would make it easier to drop your creatures on invading enemies. Now you must grab them one by one around the hive.
Your units should become unconscious before dying, that would allow your drones to drag them to their lair to restore their health. Now if a unit dies you loose all his levels!
Hmm, just played, wave 10, 3 nydus, my lair was all over the map, but the nydus didnt make enough units, and i noticed the marines and firebats have well over 300+ hp, and the mutalings have 100, and the same low hp for other creatures, I know the map is still in beta, but maybe as a suggestion to each, I didnt see but maybe you can upgrade your creatures? (which i relise is leveling up, but with armor or additional hp) and the enemies dont increase their numbers, but strength
You should build a training room to raise your creatures level, you don't have it by default but you need to research it.
Press M or doubleclick the rooms tab to research it!
About the unit cap you should kill your mutalings to replace them with more powerful creatures.
If you build the other rooms you probably didn't see you will attract stronger ones like the fatty or the pygalisk
BTW I didn't know it was possible to reach wave 10 xD
Well done!
Here is the changelog for the upcoming version, I'll upload it in few hours.
HIVE KEEPER v0.02 Changes
BUG FIX
o Drones no longer freeze their AI when all the treasuries are full
o Doubleclick on rooms/spells/traps tabs to open the research menu now works correctly
o Costs now show correctly on UI buttons
o Creatures will no longer keep the speed bonus buff after a fight
CHANGES
o Increased the food needing of some creatures
o Reduced the training speed of all creatures
o Increased spells vespene costs
o Increased rooms minerals costs
o Reduced starting vespene and minerals
o Reduced treasury max storage amount per tile
o Bottom minerals patch on map "Under Siege" moved

1) research the training room when you have enough research points
2) build your research room (at least 3x3 size)
3) your creatures will automatically go training when they are rested and well fed
4) publish the news on the main page :P
Well i conquered it :) I had some problems with the AI freezing, my drones seemed to be only be able to dig but not fortify or explore sometime midgame, interested in the replay?
As for feedback i would say the contrast or something is a bit to high, the lighting seems a bit too out of control for me. The "Status flower" or whatever is over all the units heads is too big, again atleast for me, and it is all you can see in a fight, i would prefer bigger unit models.
Congratulationz :D
BTW did you play the game in version 0.01 or 0.02? Because the drones freezing bug should have been fixed!
The lightning settings need a rework, I know. However I would like to have better wall textures first to set the lightnings on them.
The status flower is quite huge when you are zoomed out while is too small when you zoom in. I'll try to make it resize depending on the camera zoom level.
Haha thanks... It says 0.02 on the loading screen, but all i saw when reviewing it was that the drones didn't fortify some of the tunnels the enemies dug, not that they stopped roaming altogether, perhaps there is another perfect valid reason for it?
About the visual minorities i would like to say that i hope you prioritize fleshing out the game with finishing the spells, rooms etc. before you care about that sort of thing but i guess you realize that too. It kinda scares me how serious you seem to take feedback from a single person in this thread haha :)
Mmmm maybe they didn't fortify the walls because you didn't conquer the nearby ground? There is actually a bug that shows creep under the enemy portals and you can't conquer this ground. This ground is in fact owned by the heroes so you can't fortify these walls :P
There is not enough feedback about this map, it's just released. It's obvious I take care of every suggestion I get :D
I changed lightning settings a lot during the alpha but I was never satisfied!
Hey... I had to finish the map for release with an ongoing skyrim game... you can't imagine how that was hard!!!
That's a lack of respect for my work xD

I just tried it out the very first time- excellent work :D
But I cannot figure out how to actually train fighting units. I'm pretty sure I had all the rooms I could research. O.o Any help?

I released version 0.02 :P I have a request, if anyone encounters the creatures AI freeze bug after combat, please send me the replay
