Bounty, Nice thing you have gotten going. But there seems to be a problem. I can imagine the caster type being boring and too much scripted e.g Hit them with q,w>e finish with R for most damage. What you might need to add is a combo system, where using a different spell after another results in a different after effect.
Example:
Firing one of those blue balls and then activating the AOE attack detonates the blue balls, causing them to deal bonus damage around them
Example: (If you implement jump)
Using the spinning attack on a melee caster, Followed by jumping (Or using that attack while jumping) Causes your character to jump into the air and then slam back down, dealing AOE damage.

The Focus System is a combo like system. You land attacks and you progress through the tiers the more hits you land.
