Shadowrun is a pen and paper game with a weird history. Adaptation to the SNES as a singleplayer game and a adaption as a online shooter.
Maybe the most people are familiar wih Deus Ex which follows the main concepts of Shadowun, except for magic, so many people got contact in the past with it.
I wanted to create a new adaption for Starcraft II and here it is.
Some core facts:
Almost 1:1 adaption from the original rulebook.
A powerful character creator
A deep story with at least 5 hours game time in the end
Over 250 pieces of background story to discover (can be gathered through various playthroughs)
Traditional round-based combat with fists, guns and magic
Matrix combat and hacking
World of Warcraft characters for a maximum of animations
@Zanryu1337: Go Damn! I "started" that very same project a while ago, but I'm not good enough to get it done and I don't have enough free time to work on it. Glad to see someone else likes that game! If you need help with anything, specially artwork, just PM me.
Shadowrun was one of the most fun and innovative online FPS. I always played Troll with the big guns, or an Elf with a Katana, haha. Blocking sniper bullets with a sword...
Tooltips, labels and checkboxes. You usually have tooltips on label, and checkbox free of any pop-ups. Right now you have it the other way around, kinda unintuitive and annoying :/
After I got to qualities I went back to main screen to pick a pre-made character. Please add short descriptions in their tooltips.
Dialog anchoring. I'm not on widescreen so some dialogs overlapped, and "use spells" and "technical skills" went offcreen.
I got lost, wandered into shaman (green-haired troll), spoke to her, but no dialog options were working and there was no way to close dialog. Game Over for me.
-------------------------------------
I'll probably try it again when I have time, my only 2 issues were presentation (sorry but default dialogs make me uncomfortable) and b-net delay of WASD, silly that they have it for a single player map. Also I had a funny feeling from reading dialogs and dialog options.

@Zanryu1337: Go
dman, very good!
we got something here
multi right ?
This one is singleplayer only, sadly. When I'm done with it I guess I'll try a multiplayer version of it.
