I have this idea and was just wondering is it possible to micro air units if it's one on one? Star Battle shows it in a slow pace of micro but I mean fast paced, like vikings or phoenix normal speeds. I was thinking of a dota with a really big map but you can also use air units, like you jump in and it goes up in the air and you can fly anywhere but enemy bases would have good defense to keep you away from them.
Maybe by fiddling with acceleration and maybe temporary evasive abilities (like a speed boost, or something). You don't want the air vehicles to be heroes in themselves right? Just transportation with maybe a light weapon?
Ya, but I do want the possibility of an air battle going on. Probably add upgrades or something for later games. The heroes won't be able to hit them while on the ground. So maybe an ability to give a speed boost for a short limit, maybe an emp ability to stun, and a missile barrage or something.
What about this, you start off with a small base and you have to build on it, like upgrade your turrets and other buildings. create energy gates so you can go inside but enemies can't until they destroy the gate wall. Not only can you build on your base but anywhere there is space, if a doodad is in the way it will be removed if you try to build there, so you can have multiple outpost and can spawn from there if the right building is purchased. Probably create a new energy or something that goes up to say 50 and each building cost 10 to 25 depending on how useful. Don't want to use minerals as that's for buying gear.
