Hey guys, made a demo-video for my RPG. Still havent' decided on a name at the moment, but anyway, enjoy this :)
Special thanks to MindWorX for figuring out super slow motion in sc2.
From my youtube description: "The map is not done... but it's getting there. Enjoy the video; it's nothing like the actual game. But then again, when were game-cinematics anything like the actual game?"
as for the video, was really cool but I think it was a little bit long. I gotta say I'm a big fan of the "matrix" effect. In the zealot part I would have made it so it goes really fast we he sprint's to the roaches and as soon as he "thunderclap" it slows and when it hits the roaches, back to normal speed. Same thing with the rangers: running real fast and every he aims, slow it.
overall, it looks really good! looking foward your map :)
Haha thanks. Yeah it's a judgement call. The original video I demoed privately was twice as long... and I liked it more. I guess I just have an affinity for slow motion stuff. I also had to somewhat sync to the music so certain parts may be going fast/slow based on that.
Also, to Sephiex... I think the Ranger is the coolest one... not anticlimactic haha. I'll agree the Magus is though; it's showing one of Prozaicmuze's spells though!
The reason the video is sort of vague is that the map is still in alpha and I haven't been able to test obviously. It's a multiplayer game so I need Bnet. Basically it's like war3 heroes with WoW's questing/items/bosses. Story is nonexistant atm really. Basically just kill X, find X, grab X item quests atm.
Lol nuked city was me at 1am rushing the final shot. Assassin was first part I did hence it looks the best.

lol :D
Very nice video, only thing I'd suggest is perhaps some really awesome music to go with it. =D Very cool!

I used all Blizzard sounds... even the music was zerg game song that I tweaked slower.
Magus and Ranger seemed a bit anti-climatic, but otherwise a pretty nice video.
Your terrain looks amazing :3

I really love how you did the lighting and camera work for the Assassin. The lighting was all around quite nice though.
Nice terrain too, except to some degree with the nuked city.
I would be interested to see some details on this project. :) The premise at the very least.
