Hello,
I have created a model for the sc2 editor. Its not yet rigged but i wanted to check out how it looks in the editor so I imported the model and the textures in the editor but the model shows up with out the textures.I have imported the in built sc2 models for ex.zerglings with my own textures which works absolutly fine but my own models are causing problem.
It would be grreat if any one can help.
Make sure you have the textures in the Textures folder, and that folder in the Assets folder (Assets\Textures). That's the default texture folder for SC2.
And if what Exaken said doesn't work, I'm not sure if it works the same as importing WoW Models, but you could try importing the textures first, right click and move them to root, save and close the map and then open the map up again, import the .m3 and save the map.
Check if your texture's imported in the right path, which should be "Assets\Textures\" without the quotes.
Check if the model's texture path is correct and was not exported incorrectly. You can do this by opening your model with a text editor like notepad and use the search function to search for texture name and it should show point you to the string where the path is, should look like Assets\Textures\texturename.dds in between a bunch of weird characters.
Did it show the texture in game? Try testing if it works in game, might be just the editor bugging out, Was the untextured model purple-ish or completely black?

Have a look at http://www.galaxywiki.net/How_to_make_StarCraft_II_Assets It explains step by step how to do what you want.

thnk you, Zain
http://www.galaxywiki.net/Importing_Custom_Artwork#Importing_Custom_Icons there's a video there. At about 2:20 into the video I type in /Assets/Bunny/ You want to type in Assets/Textures instead; your texture will then import into the correct folder.
Man that's a bad tutorial, I should redo that entirely.
It should look like this.
