...for a special ops series of missions. I have been reading Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series and it is pretty awesome. Imagine a map where you got dropped off by a special medivac, could snipe from 1/3 of a map away and had abilities to distract or lure enemies.
It would be a TPS where you were a ghost or something like that.
A couple of maps like this already exist. 'Covert Ops' by Phrosen on EU is one of 'm. There's another one too of which I forgot the name. There's still room for someone doing it completely right, though.
Just throwing some ideas up for hell of it .. Patroling units, and adding some sort of region to front of them, so you can move behind them, but not in front of them.
Here's an idea. Add a On/Off ability that swaps your camera between first and third person view. In this mode, you can aim freely with the mouse and fire a single, powerful shot. This shot should be instant kill in most cases, but will immediately change you back to your default view.

Love the idea! EDIT: Why not special ops dropship? It looks kinda cooler. Or rename the medivac "Dropship"

I moved this to map suggestions and requests, since this isn't really pertaining to terrain.
