Hey guys, my map is dropping players on battle.net. I have no idea why. It was working yesterday. I made a few adjustments to some units, none of which seem very big to me.
I'd say its the patch, but other maps don't seem to be doing the same thing.
Anyone have ideas?
Testing in map editor, there is no lag.
Testing on Bnet, there is a skip every 3-4 seconds and after about 5 minutes, players start dropping.
Well, thank goodness. I was about to give up all together. I mean... not that I'm happy its happening to you... but it sure is better that its a Bnet problem than a map problem.... I couldn't see anything wrong. 0.o

Help, please :P
It's not the map, it their awesome servers... and their fail popularity system, GG all the good maps i liked to play aren't popular now and they're on page 5+, nice.
Edit: hmmm I republished the map under this version and the dropping/lagging seems to be gone. Maybe it has something to do with the published maps under v19.
This problem has plagued my map hard. It lags really bad now after the patch, and drops players after about 2 min.
It is only affecting some maps.
I don't know if I should spend time and try to figure out what is different in my map that is causing this and try to fix it, or just wait it out. My map (Overrun!!) doesn't lag at all when I play it solo in the editor, only online.
Try saving the map, then republishing it as a new map name.
Maybe the maintenance done something with the older servers that held the older published maps. I noticed this lagging and dropping only happened to the maps I saw before the maintenance.

i tried this on my map, the lag is lesser but it's still there.
Although this solution may reduce the likelihood of drops and lag, the problem is not specific to custom maps. There is a thread on the sc2 beta bug report forum where a blue has requested the player id and time of games where they were dropped, which include custom and normal games.
It seems to be a loading screen issue - mine was set up differently to Acemore's (wait for key was checked!), but nevertheless I found resetting the loading screen to defaults fixed the problem.

I think it's a widespread problem. It's happening for me as well.

My map randomly started lagging after this patch, you can even notice it vs. ai. But yeah, I also get the map dropping players problem as well. =/
Why is it happening on some maps and not others?

Tried that, still lagged the exact same way.

Mine also Lags and drops people =-( (Runling Run) gonna try changing the name now...
Edit: Fail, think it has to do with locked/unlocdked maps?

Not sure. Mine is set to unlocked.
After a ton of testing I found the problem. Posted it here:

Hope this helps. :)
