The MSPA community has started tossing around ideas for a Homestuck AoS-type map. If you do not know what Homestuck is, and aren't willing to read up on it a little, feel free to stop reading. :)
The warring factions would be Prospit and Derse, with associated hero-characters thereof. Fairly straightforward AoS fare, though the community has plenty of twists to offer. ("AoS" refers to a map in the same style as DotA, HoN, or LoL, for the uninitiated - though this doesn't need to be nearly as ambitious.)
What they need:
At least one SC2 mapper interested in the idea, particularly one who's had a hand in / taken a stab at an AoS before (but not required).
What they can provide you:
Character/ability designs
Neat design ideas to fit a Homestuck game, make it unique
Models/Animations
Icons
Art assets
Terrain textures
Music
Voice Acting
Dozens and dozens of willing playtesters
Ungodly amounts of praise
The MSPA community is very active, and full of artists, modelers, and programmers of all (mostly non-SC2) stripes. You would have plenty of help, if it's in the name of Homestuck. All they need is at least one lead mapper, someone to form the core of the team!
(Most project discussion would likely take place in the forums, where you can interface with the MSPA community, but the mapping-team discussion and map itself could easily be hosted/promoted here.)
Feel free to pick your own team, or apply for minor positions. They would enjoy any number of people willing to work on this project!
Finding a spare lead mapper who doesn't already have his/her own design idea is certainly asking a lot. However, I was serious about those advantages. You'd have enough outside help on the assets, design, and balancing of this map to end up with something really slick.
You would obviously still have full charge and direction over the map. Have you ever had any design ideas, ways to mix up the AoS formula, that you've thought of trying? Go for it! The gameplay is yours. We simply would provide you with a theme, and tons of support in helping your map fit that theme spectacularly.
If you wanted to make an AoS but didn't have a solid setting down, consider going for this. There are only advantages!
...except maybe the disadvantage of eventually having to read Homestuck all the way through. But we consider that a perk. :)

I'm prety good with the data editor, and also triggers. At least pretty good, that is... Need some reference of my skills?
Inquiry, though: Will the kids (or, any group of kids) be playable? 'Cause I had a pretty cool customization system planned out for the kids (well, a non-canon group of kids from a different session) planned. It doesn't matter to me, really, though, 'cause anything Homestuck-related is awesome.
(Do keep in mind that I'm already working on an AoS, though... Temple Siege 2. But I can multitask well.)

So, any takers? :)
Hope you guys don't mind if I bump this?

We're heading for the original kids and trolls being playable eventually, at the very least. In terms of any other details, well, it's your map!
Welcome aboard! We'll be discussing initial design details in the related thread on the mspa forums.
Anyone else who's interested in this, feel free to pitch in.
