Hello! My team is busy creating it's first map! Future Survival 2! (the first 1 was a map I created for starcraft1). Development is underway and things are coming together nicely and we are scheduled for release mid March.
I'd like to expand the team and add on more projects and add team members, which would allow other team members to get some well deserved time off when this project is finished.
With this in mind, I'm looking for:
Trigger Editors
Unit Editors
Ability Editors
UI Editors
I'll be designing the maps and doing the terrain and balancing the map as well as some odds and ends like tooltips if need be.

If you do not have a lot of time, if you don't know much about the position you're applying for, please, do not apply! I request that you have some sort of work to show for yourself whether it be as big as a finished project, a project that's not finished, or just a set of triggers or units or w/e that you made, it's fine. About my mapping philosophy:
I try to create unique, interesting, and extremely fun games to play. I do believe I understand what maps fun games fun and I do believe even good maps have some poorly designed aspects. There are a lot of things I look at while I'm designing a map. Things like fun factor, is it easy to play but hard to master, is there a lot of replay value, how is the gameplay, how is the balance...ect, ect. I make sure I design the maps so they aren't just maps with good ideas, but so they're maps with a lot of value.

does UI editors mean people who make images for the UI? if so, then i am somewhat new to it, but have an understanding of how those images work and can easily make UIs. If not, then i am mediocre at other image manipulation such as changing the color of a unit using its diffuse image or making an icon that is not available through the preset images.\
I don't know if i can join with these skills, so i will not post any examples of my work until i get a response saying that my skills are actually worth something.

Im new to the mapping seen but would like to get into editing. I do have maps but its only terrain so far. I have been watching and learning Data and Triggers and would like to be part of a project.
So I've decided my next project is going to be a remake of my Dark Shooter RPG for starcraft 1. It was a very fun map that didn't see a lot of daylight because people were confused (and would never read how to play). I plan on improving on that.
I didn't post saying I need a terrain editor, however, with recent events, I've come to discover I'm a very busy person, having a terrainer would help take some of the load off.
I like your enthusiasm, and having good English is a perk, but I do need fairly strong editors, especially in the data and trigger department. Is it possible I get a small demo of what you can do? I will need custom items that players can pick up and use. If you can make a small demo of say 3 weapon items that a hero unit can pick up and use, that'd demonstrate enough.
To everyone else, check out the video and maybe you'll enjoy the concept enough to want to be a part of it.

Maybe a very minimalistic UI that has the basic movement/attack/patrol commands at the bottom for now. I'm unsure of what wacky, crazy weird commands I want to add later. Possibly a swap weapons command. For now, if you could just remove the normal UI and add those basic commands to the bottom of the screen while keeping the mineral/gas count, that'd be enough. Changing the icons so it looks nice would be a plus.

I'm assuming you're talking only about making UI, not implementing it. But Implementing it is kinda part of the job don't you think? Aren't the pictures the part I'm asking you to do?

Right now, I'm not asking for a complete theme for UI. I'm just asking you to remove the default UI and not replace it so it's empty and then add the attack/move patrol buttons at the bottom. If you want to make custom attack/move w/e for now, that's fine, but I want to develop the map a little more before adding a theme. I want the UI to be very minimalistic and I'm not sure there is going to be much of one. The custom UI I'm looking for would be like clicking on a box and a UI box pops up at say the bottom right and shows items, not really a whole theme, and we're not that far in production. I'm really just putting together the team for now.

Hey everyone, I'm still looking for all sorts of people, but I'm mainly looking for trigger guys and data editor guys!
Somehow the most used parts of the editor are the hardest to find help with lol.
If you have skills in either of those departments, and are willing to spend time and be dedicated to an awesome team, this is a good place to be.
We will be churning out some awesome maps designed by yours truly. I design unique maps that are most importantly fun to play. I've been mapping for roughly 9 years and grew up with it. I do believe I know what makes a good game good. I often look at maps or real games and think to myself "if it just had this...or if it just didn't have this...it'd be a great game". Making a good game isn't necessarily about having a good concept. It's about good gameplay that makes players want to play...well...because it's fun. Why design an awesome map that has some awesome ideas and then totally screw up 1 or 2 things about it and doom your entire map....that's not what we do here.
Making a map is an art, not a skill, and it cannot be truly explained in words.

I can do implementation no problem; I'll send you a map with triggers that you can just copy and paste.
