7/26/2012 Update: Still interested in doing this map, but I'm in dire need of a data editor. Someone who knows how to properly assign new models, create abilities, handle inventory, etc.
6/5/2011 Update: I've pretty much got all the tiers planned out functionality wise out and a lot of the ground work is(was*) done. The basic map is there and the units designed/begun, so this is still very early stages, but not ground zero.
I'm still looking for people who want to help work on this map. The biggest thing I need now is a data editor (a custom modeler will be a bonus). I was doing all the data editing at first and got quite a bit done, but after some patches from blizzard some of *my stuff got hosed and will need fixed and I'm not sure if I want to relearn everything again. I'm willing to do the trigger editing and the terraining, unless there are people who want to volunteer for something. I'd really like to see this map through but I really need some help, I can't do it on my own.
And I guess I'd be willing to pick up the data editing again if someone would prefer triggering, but I'd much prefer the triggering/scripting side of the two.

I am willing to either run the team or join one, but basically I would like to work on a map for SC2 themed after the Vampire maps from Warcraft III. It won't likely be an actual "Vampire" map, but I would want someone to join the game and go "This is exactly like Vampire but with a different theme, and better!"
I'm not a professional map maker but I do pretty well working with the trigger editor and I would like to become more experienced. So what I'd really need would be either a team that wants to do this and just needs someone to do triggers, or I would need a terrain designer and data/object/ability editor(s).

I'd start with disassociating it from vampires, first because there are no vampires in Starcraft, second because right now the majority of people hate vampires due to the popularity of the Twilight series.

Second: who cares about stupid sparkling vampires? o.0
I am working on a remake ("Vampirism" like the name of the map in WC3). If someone (or myself) comes up with a good idea to replace the vampire theme, then I will do it.
Just to clear this up, "Vampire" style maps are just Cat and Mouse games, which is a much better way of describing them, just as well as a much older concept. I remember playing Cat and Mouse UMS maps.
Anyway, I'm looking for triggerwork to do, and I fail at getting anything done planned myself, so I'd be willing to contribute some work.

I've basically forced myself to learn the Data editor so that I can make this project happen and thus I now am the data editor for this map. Another friend and I can handle the terrain and triggering so what we really need now is a custom modeler. I have nothing to pay you with, but you would of course receive credit for your work. Just need someone who enjoys creating custom models (bonus if you know how to animate the models). We're not flying through the map just yet, as there is still a lot I have to create, but it's moving along nicely now.

Someone who can design custom units, abilities, buildings, etc. I would like to be able to focus on the map and trigger/script work. I can provide more details about the overall design of the game if someone so desires, and can also post a demo to battle.net for someone to look at (though some of it was broken from blizz patches).

The only reason I bring up Vampire is because that was a specific type of map in the Warcraft III games. I really have no other way to describe it.

First: I suppose you missed the obvious similarities between Dreadlords and vampires.
Second: You prove my point exactly, the Twilight series has put a negative connotation on the word 'vampire' itself.
Similarities, true. But vampires or blood drinking has never been mentioned.
My map certainly won't have friggin sparkle effects. And the vamp won't be cute or close to it.

Figure I'll give this another shot. Would there be any data editors interested in making this type of map?
Edited the original post to remove the part saying I'm the data editor. I'm definitely still looking for one.
