I want to make a map of Europe with countries.
So I found a picture of Europe online and I was wondering if I could import that image.
- I was able to import a TGA.
Place it on top of the terrain then scale it fit over the whole map.
Then I would give the img a 30% opacity then start "tracing" it with the terrain tool.
It's probably possible, but you're looking at third party software to accomplish something like this. That, or ingeneous workarounds like the thing you linked. It's less linked to terraining and more to modding the editor in general, so I'll move your thread for you so you get more responses :)

Is this possible?

I think this is my solution. I need to make a doodad and set the model to my image.

Thanks! Seemed like something a terrain expert would do.
