so how can i creat an effect on a point. i guess its really simple but the editor just totally confuse me with the shitload of options. in war3 it was so easy t.T
i found something with effect on point but i couldnt find the walloffire within the effect options. also the unit effects are not there.
i need this wall of fire from the tychus04 campaign map.
A common misconception: For you, an effect would be a graphics effect. An effect in the galaxy editor, however, is just something happening (for example cause damage, or give an order).
Such an effect may have a graphical representation, in the editor, but the effect itself does not provide any graphics at all.
Graphics in SC2 are handled by so-called actors. Actors can react to effects and spawn a graphical representaton of it, or they can be created individually.
So for your wall of fire, you want to create an actor, which uses the wall of fire model. Make sure to enable your campaign dependencies to get access to this model. Also note, that the wall as whole is one model; its gigantic. Maybe this is what you want, but for many practical applications, this model is hard to use.
im sick of trying myself, it wont work anyways.

@Mereelvion: Go
I haven't looked into it yet, but I believe the wall of fire was created by fire-shaped units. Will look at it once I have the editor in front of me.
