aint there suppose to be another Terraining Exercise coming? maybe something to do with Interior is a hint ;)
Like I said in WTE-1, feel free to PM suggestions. I can't come up with a clever music-related pun every week!
Anyway, like Dracoknight said, yes, WTE 3 will go up tomorrow evening. That would be Tuesday 17th of august, around 5, CET. For Americans that should early/late in the morning, depending on what coast you live on.
Sorry for my lack of activity in the thread here right now, but as I told Dracoknight, I had my wisdom tooth pulled the other day and I've been rather sickish and meh for the past few days. Aside from that, I've got a WoW-guild meeting coming up and my birthday is on friday, so I'll be even busier in the coming days. I'll be with you again soon, though.
Heres anouther entry, its technically still monday where I am so this should be on time.
This scene is of General Warfields private "Mansion" on Korhal. Seeing as how Korhal is an urban planet, you could figure that it would also be located in an urban area.
As with my last entry, my computer can only render it on low-medium quality without shadow or lighting support.
One thing I've found is that I tend to do large scenes where its too hard to see all the details thats been added to it. Getting a good camera angle on this scene is also bit of a nightmare because all the good angles that show the entire property will also show alot of "Waste Space" that includes little detail and picture value. Maybey I should post several smaller pictures of the map.
Yeah i had similar problems myself during my own screenshots, trying to take pictures that doesnt show the wasted space behind, or doodads that is floating in the air because it looks good from above but doesnt from a Frog perspective.
So in the end i would suggest just zooming in on the important details and the things that are the "good stuff" on the map, if there is small details all over the map you can zoom in and give a example. ( i believe i did this during my "lion king" reference, and you can see some flying doodads during my Ultralisk den )
A small tip when taking the screenshots is to (if you don't want to take in-game screenshots) is to first hide the yellow lines (bounds, hotkey: O), then show the weather effects by pressing "V", turn your editor graphics to ultra, show the sky by scrolling the mousewheel while holding Ctrl, find your favorite parts of the terrain (or the whole mape) and click Prt Scr (or Print Screen, whatever the button says on your keyboard)
