Basically I want this trigger to modify a variable when the player scores a kill. I've been using the old Banelings as projectiles solution, and without the highlighted line, the player gains experience (the variable) when one of it's baneling projectiles die AND if the player scores a kill. I only want the player to gain experience when he scores a kill on an enemy (obviously!). If I add the highlighted condition, the trigger doesn't work at all.

Unit Type != Baneling under conditions maybe?
Edit: Oh, or Owner of Triggering Unit != 1 or filter your player group
