Agreed. Especially in the US Region, Americans are generally assholes (Fact. Not everyone is, but a good majority is.) They would prefer to make everyone else miserable than just have fun with everyone else.
when making maps you should always keep in mind there will always be @$$holes or pissed off people and try to make it so they can do minimal damage in ruining the game, it is a sad thing but it must be done. =( It is why the banning system had been added to so many Starcraft brood war custom maps (though it could also be a tool for the @$$holes too and that is why people then started to add voting systems of banning)
Maps that wait for a key force me to alt tab and make sure I am the last person to press the key, otherwise there can be a lot of pointless loading (for me). I realize this is a suboptimal strategy when everyone uses it, but staring at a loading screen for 5 minutes ain't cool either.
There's only a few map types where this wait for key thing is allowable and I'll wait for it also.

Map developers, please stop using this method for the loading screen.
1) The player does not know how long to wait.
2) AFK Players who do not press a key to continue stalls the game for active players and the only way out is to exit starcraft
3) There are players who deliberately leave key unpressed to ruin the game
