Hi guys, can someone please help me, i am trying to make a map sort of like footmen frenzy on warcraft 3. I have no idea how to do the spawns.
it works like this, basically the type of building determines what type of unit gets autospawned , So for example a warpgate would spawn zealots, then when you upgrade the warpgate into lets say a robotic facility, it will then spawn stalker and so on..
i know how to spawn units from regions with a perodic trigger, however i have no idea how to change the type of unit spawned determined by the type of structure..
This trigger will run every 5 seconds, and for every warpgate, will spawn 1 zealot, for the player that owns the warpgate, and it will spawn the zealot, at the warpgate. It will also spawn a stalker for every robotics facility, at the robotics facility, for the player who owns the robotics facility.
Just copy the pick each [Building]
Set varPlayer = owner of picked unit
Create [Unit] at position of picked unit
You could also add a Spawn ability to the structures. The Spawn ability is what is used to make larvae at hatcheries, you can make any building do that making any unit.

Well one way you could do something like every so much time spawn 1 unit in a region.
And then the conditions could be if certain player has certain building do this.
So you can have multiple triggers one for each player and some if then else actions specifying what unit will spawn for that player.
Although im sure there is a better way but i haven't put much thought into it
