What tools do we actually have available for creating terrain after the game has started? Can we change cliff height, textures, ramps, etc? Can we place doodads via triggers? I've never looked into this before, but it occurred to me a little bit ago that having a set of terrain layouts, or possibly even a fully randomized map generator could add a lot of replayability to maps.
So what do you think? Possible? What tools do we have at our disposal to create such a thing?

In short: randomized terrain is not possible, unless you build it all with doodads :]
Also, Water and Lava - yes
Darn, that's a shame.
actually you can change texture and you can remove cells (eg 2nd to final campaign mission) which gives you the potential to replace them with a mask.
You could always simulate cliffs using footprints and doodads.
