Hi,
im making a unit that can load units just like a bunker. They can shoot out of it via the Attack Redirect ability; my problem is that the attack button greys out when the unit is moving. Is there any way to make a "movable bunker" where units can shoot while the bunker moves?

Options: Deactivated "Only Fire At Attack Target" & "Only Fire While Attacking"
Result:
Attack of a specific target can only begin when standing. Moving, the attack button is greyed out. The last attacked target can always be attacked normal, also when the attack button is greyed out; So you have to attack a target standing one time to change your attack target, then you can attack it normal again.
Gave the bunker a weapon to attack (phoenix-like):
This "focus target" now changes with attack order; if you give the bunker the order to attack a target, the "focus" of the units in it will go to that one. It doesn't work when it's an auto-attack.
Try using the Medevac cargo opposed to the bunker cargo maybe? I'm sure there's just 1 tiny little difference that could be the determining factor here.
Workless. :-( I think it has something to do with the attack ability, because the button greys out... Maybe a validator for moving or anything anywhere, but I dont find anything :(
Yes, the Phenix too. This iks not the problem; the problem is to make it possible to the units that are cargoed by the flyer to shoot.

Okay, I changed weapon stuff so the unit can shoot while moving. Result:
Still, the ATTACK Button of my flying bunker greys out when moving. Once the bunker stops moving, the button is available, just as before. Before, it could attack as long as it was standing. Now, it is possible to stand, then give the attack command; the unit in continues its attack as long as its in range, but the attack button greys out once again.
Another strange fact:
The attack continues when I go out of range and come to range then again.
So, summarized problem atm:
The attack can only begin when the bunker is not moving. If it stands, the attack button becomes normal and a target can be chosen. As long as you don't choose a new target, the momentan target can be attacked normal.
The difference is that they only attack when the Thor attacks too. So the Thor stands. When I change the crews weapons so they can attack while moving, the same problem appears. :(
Okay, so here is an update. My bunker now has an attack (that can be done while moving) too (exactly like phenix). Now just the attack order for the bunker must be given and the "focus" of the units in it will switch to it. The attack must be ordered, an attack-by-flying-by doesn't work. My idea is now that the problem is the attack order - it must be given a clear attack target so the units will shoot it. It does not care if you order the bunker when it has an attack or you order the units per Attack-Redirect; the order must be given.

Hmm, its not that the units that are in the bunker have to be able to shoot while moving, I tried that, without result.

I suggest you take a look at the map Destroy All Monsters, which has working moveable bunkers (Thors act as moveable bunkers).
