Pretty much what the title says, is it possible? What I want is so that, when a dropship loads up a tank or something the tank will actually be carried beneath it, just like the Thor is. Ontop of that I wanted it to be seperate from the traditional cargo space. Basically what I want to do is have it so a dropship can carry a single tank beneath it, but still carry a squad of marines inside of it. Is this at all possible?
Yes! EXACTLY! Is it possible to make it use a seperate cargo space, though? Because I wanted it so a dropship could only carry like, a single tank but could still carry a squad of marines inside. The only way I know of to make a dropship carry a single tank, is to make said tank take up the entirety of the dropships cargo. But then the dropship can't carry any marines or anything :(
I have found no way to give a unit two separate transport abilities, so I can't tell you how to make them use a separate cargo space. I can tell you, however, that what you want is possible via an advanced set of validators & behaviors. I'm not gonna go through the whole process, but essentially you want to give a "Load Validator" that checks for the existence of a behavior that the transport is given whenever it picks up a large unit (let's say a unit with the armored attribute). If the transport has said behavior then it won't pick up large units (i.e. units with armored attribute) anymore.
It's pretty complex to do via data editor no matter what route you choose, but adding the behavior to the transport via triggers should be rather simple. Just check for Any Unit uses ability LOAD UNIT, if target unit type has attribute armored, then add behavior.
Basically, there's a whole bunch of ways to do this, but none of them are simple (that I know of). Good luck :>
Thanks for the help man, I'm an extremely novice mapper and can't do triggers to save my life, so unfortunately that probably wont help me. But maybe my friend can make some sense out of it. Glad to know it's possible though :D

@Colt556: Go
Is this what you're looking for?
I included the map; let me know if you can't figure it out.

How did you do that to make the units appear under the medivac? Please explain =)
