Would it be possible to have units built by another unit placed in the building unit's Cargo? Then able to release them all at will, similar to how a carrier works.
Don't know if is the easier way, but you can create dummie skills for the Cargo Unit, like Build Marine (but is a dummie skill that does nothing when you click it).
Then with triggers, when any unit uses that skill, you create 1 Marine on the cargo unit.
That can fake that kind of building. You can't show a build bar time tought, but you can add cooldown to the skill if you want.
Hmm, I'll check into it, just had an idea though now that I thought about it. I'm gonna check the carriers build interceptor ability and see if I can find something that may help.
i think intercepters aren't in cargo, they are kinda integrated into the carrier. maybe you can make the training button train a marine but no marine appears and a trigger fires instead to make the unit in cargo
The Train ability allows you to specify an effect that is executed whenever a unit is trained. You can use an issue order effect to order the caster (the unit doing the training) to use a transport ability to load the target unit (the unit that has been trained.)
