I've been gone for a year now... just came back and started on creating a melee map! :D
Well here is my map, I wanted to create a 1v1 jungle map [not finished yet] and have been working on it for 2 days now.
I am not that good to put doodads on the map and 'decorate' the map, so thats why I post it here.
Can you guys give me some feedback on if you like/don't like the map and any changes you would want to make?
I really want to make a map that people want to play, not a map that everytime you see it you are like 'not that map!'
I like the lay-out. Also like what you've done so far - you've got a good basis. I suggest you check out some terraining tutorials (either mine on these boards, or the blizzard one) to gain some artistical insight into how to place your doodads. Maybe steal some simple ideas from other Bel'shir maps. Overall you're gonna want to fill up the edges of the map, and the edges of walkable zones (high ground, cliffs, etc). Perhaps a cool idea would be to add several size 500 Protoss Statues in the water to give the player a more 3D feeling as if he's playing on some kind of forgotten protoss Island amidst huge ruins?
