is, there a unit which refers to creep? also can it be given an aura so that when you step on it with one type of unit such as Psionic or Biological or even mechanical... it can damage units for every 3 seconds it is being stepped on. 1 damage though. also is there a way to make it damage units inside bunkers take damage?
you can create a trigger to check for creep. if unit is on creep, you apply the behavior
event - timer - every 0.5 seconds of game time
unit group - pick each unit in unit group ->unit in region entire map matching condition
condition - if else
creep is present at position of picked unit == true
I've actually done this on one of my maps. Basically, add a fast periodic search effect to the creep tumor (or whatever unit you're using to generate creep). Have the effect add a short buff to every unit in range, with a validator that ensures the unit is standing on creep.
You cannot give the creep itself a behavior or an aura of some sort. You can however add an aura to all creep-emitting units, if you don't use trigger-placed creep without a source unit. You can also add a behavior to all units on the map (either with a global aura or in the data editor for the units themselves), which has a validator to only activate on creep.
can that be made to work on units inside units like load/unload and also can that be made to work on a specific type of unit like biological?
For the trigger method, loaded units could be a problem, because they are not picked with the Pick every unit on the map action, afaik. Limiting to a specific type is no problem.
Not tested it yet myself but with the Inventory ability items loaded in the inventory can be detected using a 0 arc 0 radius Search Area effect with hidden set to required. So it might work on transported units as well.
The Itterate Transport effect is meant to use an effect on all units in the cargo and in the campaign dependencies is used by the hive mind emulator to kill the cargo of converted overlords. Sadly the while effect type seems broken.
So you would have your aura search that uses a Switch effect to determine if the unit has a cargo or not. If not it applies the creep damage buff as normal while if it detects a cargo it uses a set that uses the apply buff to the transporter and does the hidden search on the transporter to try and apply the buff to the units inside.
An alternative might be to simply apply a different buff onto all units in the transporters by default (like bunker) but it is disabled if the caster (the transport unit) lacks the aura buff.

Maybe a search that can detect hidden might? Dont bother with the Itterate Transport effect because that is broken.
