I have a behavior and the effect doesn't seem to be working. Right now the effect is under the periodic effect with the behavior having a period of 9999 and duration of 0. The effect then is a modify unit effect that has a -.75 under life and shield fraction, and a -.3 under energy fraction. I want it to subtract 75% of the unit's life an other things i described above. Is what I described above the correct way to add this effect that will last until i remove it and replace it with the next level?
Period is the time inbetween each time it applies the effect. Duration is how long the effect lasts. Supposedly, if the duration is 0, it lasts infinitely.
Period is the time inbetween each time it applies the effect.
Also, the period time runs before the periodic effect is executed... So you got to wait 9999 game seconds until your stat change is executed.
It works like this:
1. Behavior is added.
2. Behavior runs init effect or refresh effect.
3. Behavior waits for the period time to run out.
4. You are impatient and stop here with your tests. Why don't you want to wait 2+ hours?
5. Period time runs out and the periodic effect is executed.
Thanks! That worked. However now I realized that life fraction decreases the current life. I wanted it to decrease the maximum life. How do I do that? Sorry I'm somewhat inexperienced with this type of thing.

I may be wrong on that duration 0 thing though...

ok. That solves one thing. However that doesn't explain why it isn't applying the effect.

Is your Apply Behavior effect targeting the correct unit?
The persistent will skip the effect if the flag "Persistent until destroyed" isn't checked.

There should be a maximum life fraction as well...

if you look at the picture i posted above you can see what i see and I do not see a vital max.
Edit: found one in the behavior instead of the effect. so I didn't need the effect at all :(
