just import the image as "minimap.tga" to path "/".
Resulted in a flipped and stretched image lol.. I will try your method now.

I tried what u said and somehow I got back to what I had before I attempted to apply my own image. guess I will settle.
I have the exported image of my map image (Data> Export Map Image) and it looks way better than the current ingame minimap image.
Hoping there is a field in the data editor that I havent found that I could easily swap my image into. :)

Up top (by file and all that) map -> info -> -> minimap image -> select cutom voila. oh and make sure you have that image imported in already
