I'm trying to make an ability that will allow a caster to control an enemy unit (similar to neural parasite) but I also want it to behave so that the caster if the caster uses any other abilities (including move, attack), or is damaged they will lose control and the enemy will return to normal.
I tried doing this through an apply behaviour that changed the enemy unit to the casters team for a few seconds, but I can't find any way to remove the behaviour if the caster starts doing something else.
look at the structure hive mind emulator, from the campaign, it allows the building to permanently mind control enemy zerg units. you would be able to change around unit types and whether it was permanent or not easy enough.
as for removing it, I am not sure if there is a data solution, you may need to just remove the mind control with a simple trigger
Easier solution look how nova from the campaign does it. she can control and release stuff at command so all you need to do is link the destroy persistent effect to the Damage Response - Handeled on a behavior. That way when the unit is hit the damage response will break the control.
