I use an Arm Magazine ability with an internal magazine with SCVs identical to Interceptors in Carrier. Then I created an ability (Effect-Target) that launches the SCVs at their target. What I want is, when I target a mineral patch the SCVs go and mine it. Now the SCVs only attack the target or return to the Battlecruiser if I target a mineral patch. I tried to use the Issue Order effect but it is being ignored (prolly wrong use or settings).
I've been wondering if it's possible to tie Hangar units to orders other than attacking as well, however I'm afraid I don't have any idea how to do it either :-/
I know some abilities can be set to use Hangar 'ammo' (such as the Nuke) maybe there's something there that could be of use. Keep in mind this is just me thinking out loud, I may well be waaay off.
You might be able to include a Set/Switch effect into the SCv weapon, which then issues the order to mine upon firing at a mineral patch (or even create e seperate hidden weapon with higher range for this purpose)
This would require the BC to not switch attack targets from the mineral field, as magazine units are automatically given the order to attack the same target as the host. Firing upon other units is ok, the redirect is tied to the Attack ability.
Another option is to "find" the magazine units via a Search on the BC, requiring Hidden in its target filter. This gives you an effect scope linking the ammo and the host, though it might still have the above limitation (you could also try a persistent effect spamming the Issue Order and/or disabling the SCV's attack while ordered to mine)
Hello.
I have a Battlecruiser with SCVs.

Pls help.

Probably would need to use a mining simulation to prevent cancelation. Look at my data assets for one.
