On the same topic, I'd like to know how to prevent my attachments from rotating.
this is what happens, when my unit faces different directions, the attachment seems to rotate in a weird way. I'd like my attachment to remain "fixed", so the bottom of the infestor is always facing the left side of my fatty, whatever direction he goes, like on the fatty on the right)
(this is different from the OP since he wants his attachment to always face the same direction - the solution given byDrSuperEvil isn't what I was looking for).
What are the settings on your SOp (Attachment) and SOp (Explicit Rotation)?
If your model is flip flopping this is caused by the + to - inversion along the z axis and fixed by specifying both a forwards and up direction under the SOp (Explicit Rotation) SOp.

I'm not too sure what you mean by settings on the SOp Attachment (all I have changed there is the Attachment Query Method).
As for the Explicit Rotation, I'm a bit lost. I have tried to set values in all fields of Forward/Up, and all kind of combinations (I'm just trying to make the attachment stay in place for now, I'll worry about it being rotated the way I want later) but it keeps facing one direction instead of rotating with my unit. Could you explain a bit more in details? Thanks.
Is one of the Hold Position/Rotation/Is Local field important? they're all set to disabled.
With rotations for the forward -y is the direction the model faces normally +z is where the upward direction of the model where the head points from by default (I do not know off the top of my head which value of x is left or right). The up values are calculated at a right angle to the forward so -y means the head of the model points up and +z is along the +y for the forward (if I recall). The rest is simple three dimensional angles based on the opposites and adjacent lengths scaled down that the largest value equals 1.
There is a model to act as a helper that has three arrows at right angles in a red green and blue colour.
I've got a model addition actor which, right now, rotates with the unit it's attached to.
How to prevent this? I wan't it to permanently be 270deg.
you have to change the attachment method

Can you elaborate? How should I do that?
Disable the Actor: Is Local flag on a SOp (Explicit Roatation) SOp and enable the Actor: Hold Roatation flag.
