I was wondering if it's possible to make a map with your own data and later when you decide to make another map, you can use your data from your first map in your new map?
I am aware of the fact you can create a sc2mod instead and put that as dependency into your map. But i cannot test a sc2mod on its own to know if there are mistakes in the data, before i use it in a normal map, so I would always have to switch between the mod and the map, is that correct?

Extract the Xml data and copy it over to the source map. A search will turn up a lot of threads with solutions to this.
