Hello everyone. I am relatively new to this so bear with me.
I am trying to create an AOE ability that causes a temporary confusion. Making units in the AOE to attack the nearest unit be they friend or foe. However I just can't seem to figure out how to do this. I was wondering if anyone here has made a similar ability and could help me out.
What you could do is make an ability that searches in the area you want and then give the targets it finds a behavior. Then you would have to make triggers to make any unit with that behavior to attack targeting the closest unit.
@GodKingFonzy: Go You can create that effect purely with data. A search effect applies a behavior to all units in the area. This behavior periodically calls for another search effect, this search effect can only target 1 unit, and in the Target Sorts field you set it to distance. The search affect then calls for an Issue Order effect that forces the unit to attack the target unit found by the search.

Also use the uncommandable flag on the buff.
